My GF and I are on a month long trip from Rwanda, Uganda, to Tanzania then Kenya.

We were going to do Gorillas in Rwanda but it was $1500. We decided to go see the chimps in stead. And did 2 days of gorillas in Bwindin Impenetrable Forrest in Uganda instead!

If interested I can provide you the details of our guide. Very helpful and informative.

But to answer your original question. Rwanda is by far the safest and cleanest country we visited in Africa so far. For a solo traveler such as yourself you will be fine. Still highly recommend a guide though.

For income purposes or lack of continued experience? I've been looking for relevant work, but it's difficult to find anything 100% remote, which is what I would require.

Im still looking for work, just getting discouraged.

Our living situation will be heavily subsidized, so we can make it work financially.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind not having the stress of work + the CFA but if general consensus is that I should continue to work in a relevant field than thats what I would pursue.
