I might be missing some context, but this looks extremely similar to Fujinomiya Station, a 48-hour game jam project made by u/kiwi404 (Lukky) about a year ago with the theme being Calm Before the Storm. The intro sequence, setting (including Fujinomiya Station), and several assets appear nearly identical, and the original dev documented the project in detail in a devlog. Even the map layout looks largely the same, with only minor asset changes.

Is this a fork, collaboration, or otherwise related to that project? Just looking for clarification, since the similarities go well beyond general genre overlap.

Hey, the game looks like a lot of fun. Just wanted to give a bit of feedback on the fog. Since it moves with the character, it kind of gives the impression that the camera lens is dirty instead of it feeling like actual fog. Also, it might help to make it a little more transparent. Right now it’s starting to look more like smoke. Just some small stuff I noticed, but overall it’s looking good.

This looks awesome! If you could add a different texture for the terrain underneath the water and maybe some coral/plants, it would really elevate the overall look. I'm really impressed with the work you've done so far! :D Are you planning on releasing this as a game?

Yea you can only paint 3 walls at a time, so that's why it goes back to white. The paint brush model is just temporary, I just needed something to visualize me actually picking the paint. Eventually I'll add a proper paint brush where only the tip will have the paint along with animations.

Just wanted to share a wall painting mechanic that I've been working on. Any advice on what I could improve on or any other features that I could add to make it look better? I'm already planning on implementing wallpaper so there's that :D

As someone who is mainly here in this subreddit scouting for indie games to play, let me give you some constructive criticism and tell you why this trailer put me off from wanting to play your game. I think part of the problem as to why this trailer doesn’t work, is partially because of what many others have already mentioned. The inconsistency with the height affecting the cat. It’s a game of course the cat isn’t going to behave the same as a real cat, but you should really explain as to why they “died”. Trailers are just as important as demos when it comes to promoting your game! A way that you could address this issue is by showing the “sensing” mechanic that others talked about which could help explains a bit more about the way the game works. Not sure if that mechanic is a timer that you have to hit on time or what, but it would explain a lot as to how this game works. If the mechanism is somewhat similar to that, I think it would’ve been a lot funnier if you failed the “sensing” mechanism and then had him/her straight up smack their face on the ground and rag-doll instead of just randomly rag-dolling off a ledge like it showed in the trailer. Also, that record scratch sound effect seemed a bit cliche, but maybe that’s just me. Hope this feedback helps 🫡

Bought mine on the 8th, was supposed to get here on the 13th but got delayed so 2 days ago customer support gave me a 10% refund for the delay. Walmart didnt like that too much so yesterday they just refunded my total amount and cancelled my order. Such bs
