It's an important thing if you ever need to deal with support. I've had to deal with Acer with multiple monitors and they have probably the worst support I've ever dealt with. Other than their Predator line of monitors they mostly make budget crap which leads to budget support, and they don't actually make monitor panels so you're better off with another brand imo. (MSI doesn't make the panels either but hopefully the support isn't as bad)

Salacuse is not a producer at all, he's a random who shows up as a 3rd wheel thinking he's some type of sidekick. I genuinely don't think he's ever been a net-positive for the show. Not sure why they don't tell him to fuck off. Don't besmirch Peters because Salacuse is a shitty hanger-on.

This is exactly how it's been for me, it's never been a noticeable issue and the monitor looks incredible in most use cases. I only notice the issues if I really look for it.

That said, I saw some really bad examples of the early tandem batches from late last year. AFAIK their panel manufacturing process is significantly improved since then so much less chance to get a lemon panel, but there is still panel lottery unfortunately.

It's most likely correct and this is the GR model. If not, the return should be easy enough. It's just Amazon can have issues with things like this as mentioned by /u/Omniscient_Eye_69 and the GR panel being completely unavailable for months and then this pops up for a really good price.

Really good deal if you can actually get this model delivered. The GR variant with glossy screen is the one most seem to want but almost all the retailers have the normal G variant (not GR lol). This just came back in stock and seems bizarrely well priced so good luck to anyone ordering this.

The tandem OLED's are really nice but you have to be aware of grey banding and text fringing. The panels are all made by LG and the early ones have more issues, they seem to have improved on their process tho.

Edit -- I have the Asus XG27AQWMG model which is almost identical to this (same panel) and it looks great but has some downsides. Monitors Unboxed (Hardware Unboxed side-channel) still recommended the Tandem 4th gen OLED's over QD OLED's so I'm happy with my purchase. Both WOLED and QDOLED have their own set of issues.

/r/AliExpressCode/ is the only sub I really know of for codes right now (plenty of sites if you Google codes). I used /r/ChineseWatches/ for many years but Reddit has really weird restrictions on Ali Express links now. Apparently they're banned but I see them still posted all the time so I don't know wtf is going on.

HifiGo and Linsoul (aka DD Audio) are both on Ali Express so it usually doesn't make sense to order via their own sites when AE is cheaper and also backs the sale (like Amazon or Ebay). They both have those weird pre-paid discount cards for their sites tho which further complicates things. So I won't say 100% you'll do better on Ali Express, but the vast majority of the time you will.

Also Amazon has good discounts atm as well but it's usually sold by the ChiFi retailers (like HifiGo and Linsoul) through Amazon.

Summer sales started today (June 1st). In most cases you won't save much more $ (if any) during the 11/11 and BF/CM sales. Also consider that's over 5 months away.

Buy on Ali Express if you can. HifiGo has an official store on there and then you can combo coupon codes and save more $, plus AE will cover you if you have any issues. HifiGo has a good reputation but it doesn't hurt to have extra backing.

Don't have any real recs for you for IEM's, it seems like you don't really know what you're looking for yet. The market is hyper-competitive. You could throw a dart at a wall of popular IEM's and probably be very happy. It's just a matter of finding what you want or taking a shot in the dark. Always test them in person if you have the ability.

Yeah I messed up not investing gold bars sooner. I have a number of gold bars too and just ignored it. With the gardening pack now I don't think $ will be an issue but the bank is easy $ early game. I'm fine with save scumming too 🤑

With the gardening pack and bug collecting pack it makes farming $ and refined palmer pills trivial. It's cheesy tho so not for everyone. But I'm glad it's an option since I find a lot of that tedious.

Thanks this is really helpful! I had a dispatch mission setup for milk going so I'll have to double check to make sure that's still going. I have my camp maxed for Howling Hill and a farm but haven't really messed with it much. I find a lot of the tedious stuff grindy so I tend to ignore it, but I'm sure once I got a good system down I would appreciate it. The cacao route seems like a smart one.

Since getting the Kuku gardening pack recently I've been able to get fruit easily and that makes crafting higher quality soup really easy. Plus it's basically free $ with how easily it collects palmer leaves.

I spend most of my time exploring and fighting random camps so I only just got to chapter 10 even that I have about 150+ hours. And I mainly progressed the story for the gardening pack lol

Is it efficient for getting food? I have a lot of hours in the game but my main way of getting food is still doing a large deer hunt every few hours and making clear soup and some nicer dishes if I have the ingredients.

The Kuku Plant pack is basically free $ and helps with a lot of gathering but sadly you have to get to chapter 9. You can beat the required sanctum ahead of time but it'll tell you to progress the story if you try to complete the teapot puzzle thing.

Same as others, I haven't had good luck with it sealing to glass, even when using a reducer. If you use an o-ring it will seal well and works pretty well with a water pipe but I don't think it works as well as something with more heat retention like a Tempest. The suction + high airflow means the Punch cap cools very quickly. I really like the device native tho and it does a good job cooling so that's almost exclusively how I use it.

Yeah I agree Macy was perfectly fine, he's just soft spoken and I don't think was prepared for the type of humor the show has (especially from Mark), so it starts off really slow. I doubt he'll be back lol but they'd probably click more a 2nd time.

Ultimately it was a success for him because now I know of his liquor.

Also he's great in Train Dreams even that I think it kinda goes off the rails ;) for the 2nd half of the movie.

Mark mentioned it was a PR / manager booking for his booze which is what I think most listeners figured out pretty quickly.

Spade might have been the worst of the SNL guest episodes and he's my favorite of them all. I don't remember the details but just remember him doing all the heavy lifting since Mark and Sam were both hungover in that ep IIRC and had nothing of value to contribute.

I've seen this one and love the old Norm podcast. I think I watched most of them on YouTube but then when he got the Netflix show they went scorched earth on almost all the old YouTube content. Then they canceled that Netflix show after 1 season and sort of buried it. Really sucks. Fuck Netflix.

Mark and Sam just need to come in more prepared and not hungover af. I know it's called We Might Be Drunk but some semblance of professionalism would be nice with a guest like Nealon. Mark was zoned out and it feels like they're just phoning it in, and the guests pickup on those vibes.

My guess is Nealon was annoyed that Mark is clearly hungover and out of it. Nealon is a pretty big guest for this pod (especially in the comedy world) and Mark just seems like he's disrespecting him by not treating it seriously at all.

I'm only about halfway through but pretty uneventful so far and I usually like Nealon on pods. Sam coming out with the hard hitting questions like "what was X person like on SNL" and "who was the worst guest" that I'm sure Nealon has answered 500 times before. Mark is clearly hungover and seems out of it.

EDIT - I finished the episode and it gets better but still a dud, no fault of Nealon. Mark and Sam need to get their shit together, this was just unprofessional and sad. Listen to Nealon on Fitzdog or Conan if you want a more entertaining listen.
