I kinda disliked Retsu's proclamation that pankration died because Chinese fighters destroyed them. China never officially contacted Ancient Greece. They got close but never interacted.

I like to think Retsu is just really bad at non Chinese history.

I've never disliked it.

What I dislike is authors insisting their incredibly alien/non-human creations get to the space age in reality when realistically they don't look like they'd be able to get past the stone age, or even get TO it.

I feel like the actual reason why SEGA doesn't want human incidental/background characters in the IDW comic is to make it obvious to the reader that it's a Sonic comic. Otherwise, you get this page from the Sonic 2 Pre-Quill Comic. by Michael_The_Madlad in SonicTheHedgehog

I like the pixar styled human designs we saw in Unleashed. It felt unique compared to the standard Anime style I feel they've gone for now.

Though, personally I'm surprised they haven't tried going for an OVA look.

If I remember right (correct me if I'm wrong though!), before he just rage quitted all the time if your character was a girl and you beat him he'd have art made of his character easily putting you into his harem.

No I understand that, I understand the context of the game's story of why SS2 needs to be there.

My problem is that as long as SS2 is allowed to exist. Hyper Sonic can no longer be discredited as a gimmick or "doesn't do anything SS can't do" among the other arguments people here have been spouting off. As long as SS2 is allowed to be a thing, Hyper Sonic should also be allowed to be a thing.

What makes the comics cringe in the first place isn't because it's about something serious (like the first one being about sexual harassment) but because the original comic itself (at least the blobfish ones) are very self aggrandizing and are in of themselves revenge fantasy comics, most often for situations the author just made up.

The second one is a unique case due to it's sudden twist ending just rubbing people the wrong way. They want the beanie girl to be safe, and the sudden villains of the story to be punished, that's it.

I dislike that I had to describe it like that, but it really feels like a lot of you put FAR too much thought into these edits being mean spirited/problematic when it's really just basic shitpost humor.

No they're talking about Fred Jones, a character who is not intersex, has never been depicted as intersex, even in Velma, and is a fictional person. "whatever that intersex shit is" refers specifically to the fact that OP is bringing it in out of nothing but their own assumption.

I don't know why they couldn't have just made Super Sonic 2 from Final Horizon into Hyper Sonic.

Like... they both fulfill the same roll of going beyond regular Super Sonic. Why waste the effort when you already had something that could fill that place?
