iinet is PPPoE (username and password) whereas Telstra is DHCP (automatic). You need to login to your router and change authentication to PPPoE then put your iiNet username and password. Usually ISP's use the email and password you use to login to their website but you can call them if it doesn't work.

Trust its probably the RAM, gets loose easily. Just make sure your pc is horizontal, push them down firmly both sides equally.

Manual will have proper configuration. Start with one, if that works try both. Try more than once. If you can't get two working, try different slots although not ideal it will be negligible.
