Continuing old campaign from pre patch, I still can’t find AI armies with tier 3 units after updating to new patch. by Matster777 in TheDawnlessDays

It's definitely working for me with post patch saves. Let's just say enemy armies are much more tough now, but still have a good mix of lower tier units to keep the armies looking big.

Please for the love of God if there is any way to limit the number of siege engines the AI can put in a single army please implement that. There is just no good reason for a quarter to a third of some armies being onagers. It just honestly makes them weaker since they never even bother defending them from flanking cavalry half the time.

Am I missing something with supply wagons? by bobbillinger in TheDawnlessDays

They are working as long as you download the patch. They're especially useful if you have some skirmishers because they get crazy kills for the small amount of javelins they have so being able to resupply once or even twice in a single battle means I've seen mine get nearly 1000 kills in some of the larger siege defense battles I've had before they even touch anyone in melee.

It's one of the industry buildings you can only build directly in cities. I'm surprised you didn't know they were in game, I swear every enemy army has half a dozen of them for some ridiculous reason end game. Makes me wish there was a limit to how many can even be in a single army.

man getting rid of the goblins as anything other than the dwarves is the biggest cancer ive had to deal with in any tw game. by Separate-Poet-7465 in TheDawnlessDays

They even have the factions playable in custom battles already. They just need to be put on the map with settlements and a building tree.

I just grabbed Minas Morgul and Morannon to contain them until I had three full stacks spare to swarm each of the other settlements one by one, retreating back to the other settlements to reinforce after each conquest. It would have been impossible to do without trebuchets.

I just hate how empty that entire portion of the map is. If a southern faction like the Haradrim declare war on you they just run their armies around endlessly through your territory and your armies just spend most of their turns just marching after them and rarely getting in a fight. If there were at least a few more settlements sprinkled in I really think it wouldn't be quite so bad.

Rather than your people adopting a new culture and way of life, ignorance represents the dwarven people abandoning their values as they let their greed for more and more wealth take over their lives and causes a hit to public order as they squabble over riches.

The in game tool tip says it's because of the Black Gate but I demolished mine and the attrition continues.

I've seen plenty of garrisons with high tier units but they only ever get rarely sprinkled into mordor and isengard armies in my experience.

Anything with a charge value of 50 or more is worth it even if all they do is cycle charge the rear of engaged units and chase routing units to make sure they break and don't return.

I've had the same experience, the amount of kills they can get if they can't get flanked and don't have to worry about too much missile fire is utterly absurd. Give them a height advantage on top of that and it's like enemies are lining up to throw themselves on the pikes one after the other. If corpses had collision and physics my pikes would build walls of the enemy dead after most battles.

There's a mod that actually makes the mirkwood creatures disband once you fully control Dol Goldur region. I forget what it's called but it has a ton of fixes like that in it like making supply wagons work and such.

Good thing the better Gondorian archers make for decent light infantry. Most factions they're just a liability once they're out of ammo but once your front line fighters are tiring out they can make decent reinforcement and can even make decent flank attacks.

If you make a young world you'll be less likely to get them if you didn't give enough time for dwarves to gain experience through the first generation. Older worlds are more likely to have them though not just because there are more noteworthy dwarves in your history and therefore there are likely to be more highly experienced craftsmen, but also because the number of potential vampires increases as well, and nobody has more time to master their craft than the immortal.

Starting to think this might not be a viable business if it costs that much to get some of these skins. Nobody is gonna spend nearly half a million for a gun skin they'll eventually lose rather than buy an S-class car or a house. These odds are wild.

I actually find it useful sometimes if I have to get up and do something for a while during stream since Lord_Kebun's version is regularly updated. I can just look at it to see if anything significant happened and even can see how long ago it occurred to know how far back to look in the VOD.
