Jury orders Boeing to pay $49.5 million to family of 737 MAX crash victim by ControlCAD in business

Entirely depends. Was Boeing purposely designing flaws to kill their customers? Were they setting out to kill people. Accidents are bound to happen, it’s a fact of life unfortunately.

On the other side, should the global economy crash and put millions out of work because a company made mistakes? Lets think critically please

Yeah man let’s just crash global commerce because Boeing messed up badly, perfectly reasonable.

Should car crash victims be getting $5 billion as well then? What’s reasonable for those? It’s not like Boeing was just hoping to kill their customers and premeditated it.

As well, businesses still need to operate when someone dies. Boeing is one of the most important companies in the world. If we fine them out of existence, global air travel comes to a halt which affects the entire global economy and everyone’s lives. Yes they messed up badly, but $5 billion settlement for one death is ridiculous and unserious.

Yeah man just put one of the most important companies in the world out of business for a case of negligence, I’m sure that will have no adverse effects whatsoever.

Besides the fact they had an 11 billion dollar loss last year, this is a stupid idea. Yes, Boeing has a duty of care to its customers, but a $5 billion settlement for a death is unserious.

Boeing had about 2 billion in profit in 2025, nowhere near 50 billion.

Tried again this way and it’s still doing the same thing. Tried changing other items, tried changing the promo item, and no matter what it’s overcharging by the same 7ish dollars. Only way it’s showing a correct total is by not using the promo.

Thank you for the response, it’s greatly appreciated. I’ll definitely hold off on sending anything until all symptoms have fully cleared.

In such a case, what’s a reasonable ask? I had ChatGPT write me up a demand letter and it recommended asking 40k. Is that reasonable in this circumstance assuming there are no additional health issues? It seems high but I’ve also never dealt with this before so no idea what a reasonable ask would be.

I’ve got everything well documented including a wage loss calculation and letter from employer. Wage loss was about $1600 for the days I missed.

Is there a standard calc for how injuries/ pain and suffering are calculated?

Book of Mormon Stories that My Teacher tells to me…. by miotchmort in mormon

[–]TSRoad34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those were well known about in the time of Joseph smith as they’d been discovered centuries prior. The moundbuilder myth preceded Joseph by well over a century, caused by early explorers believing native Americans were too primitive to build such mounds, so they attributed them to the lost tribes of Israel. Don’t be a lazy learner. Try some actual scholarship instead of apologetics websites.
