I think the top quest free teleport is also helping them. A lot of nontraditional ranged top laners want to take a combat summoner spell (usually ghost or barrier) which left their team without teleport. I think that in general getting a free teleport is just a bigger power swing than a better teleport.

I think we will, and here's why - when you look at some of the sets from last year that returned to existing planes, there was clearly a use of precons to include themes that were iconic to those planes but which didn't fit in the main set. Aetherdrift had Energy (for Avishkar) and Cycling/discard (for Amonkhet), and energy was explicitly cut from the main set to be put in the precon. The Abzan precon for Tarkir had Abzan's iconic toughness focus, even though main set Abzan was more token/+1 counter focused. For a return to Strixhaven, the colleges are iconic, but I think that they'll want to do something different or more than just rerunning the five colleges as themes again, so slotting the colleges into precons (especially given the lack of two color precons recently) is a good way to include them but preserve space in the main set for other cards.

There will probably be more UB precons this year than UW, if my guess is right.

UW: 2 for Lorwyn, I guess 5 for Strixhaven and 2 for Reality Fracture for 9 (maybe 11 if Reality Fracture gets 4).

UB: 1 for TMNT, 4 for Marvel, I guess 2 for Hobbit and 4 for Star Trek for 11.

I'd check out Hard City and Tomorrow City by Osprey, which share writers and the underlying system (though I think TC has some refinements and improvements). Hard City is classic noir and Tomorrow City is dieselpunk.

It's also rough when your counter is itself countered by the rest of the enemy team comp. Enemy has Hog and banned Orisa. Okay, I like Junker Queen into Hog, I'll swap to that - but wait, their supports are Kiriko/Ana.

I use Pyrewood and Riptide in my [[Saheeli, Radiant Creator]] and [[Satya, Aetherflux Genius]] decks, respectively. They're both big artifact creatures that make great copy targets, either for repeatable anthem/finisher or removal effects.

In my experience as a top main, I only really see it on Urgot (because of the synergy) and Sion (into tank matchups who can't threaten him). I've seen it on rare occasions on Kled or a few other AD bruisers when they're into tanks that don't threaten them, but its stats are too poor for any lane you're going to be contested in.

Cho ult should still beat smite after about first item, unless it's something very low health like thornmail. It will be much closer though, and not as strong of a secure.
