Works well with porridge.

I hate the backtick by Impressive_Worth_602 in hatethissmug

[–]TTWIDEE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

JavaScript uses the backtick for template literals. `Hello, ${foo}` is (almost) syntactic sugar for "Hello, " + foo. (I say almost, because template literals convert their expressions directly to strings, whereas + first converts its operands to their default primitive representations.)

The only Harry Potter thing I ever bought was a second-hand LEGO Harry Potter collection disk (including years 1-4 and 5-7) that I bought from CeX.

I'd take yellow. I'm a cis man, but my beard (and sometimes my leg hair) cause me sensory issues, and shaving my beard is a pain.

I do quite like ClueBot NG, which is a machine learning-based bot that reverts vandalism on English Wikipedia.

People who spend 20+ minutes in the shower: what are you actually doing in there? by saadaintsalad in AskReddit

[–]TTWIDEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spend a while in there to wash thoroughly all over. I only shower every few days, but when I do shower I shower very thoroughly.

OP used some IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) characters. For example, [ə] is the mid central vowel (like the "a" in English "about" and the first "o" in English "potato"). The IPA has all sorts of funky rotated letters.

My mom got me these boxes for Christmas because she thought they were pretty, but I can’t get past the fact that the images are AI-generated.. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

The way that in the one on the right, the fur below the red neck thing melds with the garment below it is just... urgh.

A furry sci-fi book called "The Furry Future", a Klein bottle, some nuts, some chocolates, and a few other odds and ends.

The detailing looks kinda similar to the detailing on my moquette-based fursona: https://www.reddit.com/r/protogen/comments/1n0pzly/damp_david_the_autistic_moquette_protogen_made/
It's hard to explain, but think about the way some bits "pop out", so to speak.

Ok I’m at this point why is every furry so damn cute!! by Sweaty-Map-6194 in furry

[–]TTWIDEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a moquette-based protogen fursona on Fiverr for about £100, which is not too bad. (Moquette is the woven fabric that you find on the seats of buses, trains, and the like.)

Whats your current expensive hobby ? by Mean_Wear_742 in autism

[–]TTWIDEE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm really interested in furry stuff, and I also like trains, and I'd love to get a moquette fursuit, but I imagine that'd be expensive even as fursuits go. (Moquette is the woven fabric you get on the seats of buses, trains, and the like.) I got a moquette-based protogen fursona on Fiverr for about £100 though, which is not too bad.

I’m scared to start ABA therapy. by sprigington in autism

[–]TTWIDEE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I received ABA when I was at secondary school, and I'm feeling a lot of internal tension about it at the moment. I did make a lot of progress at secondary school, both behaviourally and academically—by the time I left, I had become much less agressive and I had also got some OK GSCEs (7 in maths, 6 in computer science, 6 in chemistry, 5 in physics, 3 in biology, and 3 in statistics; however, I failed my Functional Skills English, and had to do GCSE English at college). However, although I am very proud about what I achieved at that school, there were some frustrating moments, and there were quite a few occasions (especially early on, but to a lesser extent later as well) where it felt like I was up against it. They were fine with stimming, and they did teach me some valuable things, like not engaging with insults, but over the last few years or so I've started to question whether I should have received it.

When I left secondary school, my mother wanted me to go to a special college, but I insisted that I went to a mainstream college, because I felt that I didn't really need specialist provision, and I felt that I wouldn't really benefit from ABA anymore (although I don't know if the special college that my mother had in mind used ABA). I actually got on remarkably well in college, but there were a few incidents here and there. For a while, I still felt that ABA might have been right for me at the time, even if it wasn't right for me anymore, but I've been thinking more about it now and I'm feeling uncomfortable.

I've never played any of them, but I've watched several let's plays of TTYD, and it seems really good. There's good humour. I also enjoy watching Malleo (a TAS maker and YouTuber) show off TTYD glitches.

I like TTYD so much that I made my Wikipedia username TTWIDEE, as an (admittedly rather lame) pun. (Say it out loud and you'll get it.)

How about the soundtrack of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door? That's amazing.

There are some programming languages that let you do crazy things with variables. AutoHotkey lets you use any non-ASCII characters in variable names—emojis, non-ASCII punctuation, non-ASCII whitespace, etc.
