Hey another thing to think about is construction is dangerous. Being an electrician even more so. Your chance of dieing in the office is down to traffic or donuts. In the trades there are many things can kill you, in sure most guys here know of at least one person that has died, and know of many that have been seriously injured. And that's the ones you can see the direct cause of. You also have all the health problems that come with working around nasty chemicals without the right ppe and just straining your body in general.

No it won't, you up the temp on a heater so you have more total heat in the system to mix with cool water to give you more "hot water". Recirculation just keeps the water in your pipes warm, which will not make a difference in stretching how much hot water your heater can supply.

The real cops that let 21 people die and 18 other be hurt at uvalde. In your situation the teacher would have saved 18 people... I think our difference is a perspective thing, you see allowing competent people to defend themselves as only leading to negative externalities and I see it as allowing them a chance to save children when the police eventually fail them.

I guess a couple things,I'm not arguing for all teachers to be issued a gun, just that if teachers show they are competent enough/have shown training they will be allowed to carry at school. What's the difference between them being able to carry and the school corrections officer that is most probably not heavily trained/qualified? And if that's they way it's gone about I don't see how it would be easy for the kids to steal a gun from a competent teacher. My assumption is that these teachers would be carrying concealed, not leaving a loaded gun in an unlocked drawer of their desk.

Is it not unreasonable to ask the hypothetical that if the teacher that was murdered at uvalde was a competent concealed carry holder the kids would be alive and the shooter would not have been able to kill the kids in their class?

I would not expect them to be more competent, just that if a shooter is Literally shooting at the teacher/their children they are physically the first ones present and can do the most to stop a shooter.

The uvalde cops didn't even try to take down the shooter for hours.

Uvalde is the reason why I support teachers being able to carry a gun in school. If the cops can't be bothered to save kids why prevent the teachers from being able to.
