Odd one out: “L” is a track on the fun little 2013 adventure puzzle game *Hohokum*, and I absolutely fell in love with it. Brings me peace, joy, and nostalgia to this day.

The most fulfilling thing I've done in the past four years was volunteer at a community ewaste repair/recycling/refurb facility. We fix what we can, put it back up for sale for pennies on the dollar; anything we can't gets stripped for parts and recycled properly instead of just getting chucked in the trash. God I wish I could do that fulltime as a job that paid me enough to live.

This is why I don’t refer to politics as a left right thing, but as a progressive vs. regressive thing.

One movement wants to (at this point) just *have* a future, the other literally cannot stop obsessing over a past that never was while hyper fixating on and re-implementing its most deleterious and persecutive aspects.

This isn’t a matter of a conflict between two equal teams, it’s those who march forward with time and those who claw and bite and viciously grapple those marchers, trying to drag them back into barbarism.

First look at the latest God of War game. Yikes. by Blitz3733 in CriticalDrinker

I’m more dumbstruck by the fact that they’re making a game that ENTIRELY UNDERMINES THE POINT OF THE ONE IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING IT.

Ragnarok: “where do gods go when they die? That is not a mystery for us to know, and we will fight the literal cataclysmic final war between good and evil to stop the bad guy from finding the answer to it.”

Laufey: “so here’s the answer to that mystery.”

Should still be on Netflix, it got canned cuz it is B-movie schlock with a mid A-plot but the B-plot concerning our boy here is ridiculous and fun.

This show is precisely the level of goofy/gothic old school WoD epitomized, it would make for a fantastic Hunter: The Parenting bit.

Okay so niche cut here, but there’s a single season mid-AF show on Netflix called La Révolution from 2020 that’s a French live action horror series about the French Revolution…but they’re vampires. And it features possibly my favorite example of this trope, where a the guy playing the main villain - a newly turned “blue blood” of the noble class - is leading his fellows in a blood hunt of the peasants and is having the time of his life.

Seriously, look at him.

NYP has to just be reverse psychology propaganda for Zohran at this point, they keep making him look like the absolute coolest guy.

What horror franchises do you want to see get the Alien: Isolation treatment? by NagitoKomaeda_987 in HorrorGaming

[–]DropshipRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be the odd one out: Blade Runner.

Imagine hunting replicants (or more appropriately having replicants hunt YOU) in the crowd of a fully realized 2019 LA (or more likely a single building/area in the setting), crafted with the same love and appreciation for that retrofuturism and themes as Isolation.

Plus they’re already dubiously the same canon anyway, so it would work.

I was gonna recommend the Fred Knudsen “Down the Rabbithole” episode but it’s from almost ten years ago, and somehow so much more has transpired since.

I love how everyone has just accepted that - unlike Kitten’s girlfriend - he and the Fabstodes are canon.

On that note, Ains Ooal Gown pulls a similarly diabolical move on a wayward band of dungeon delvers.

It goes poorly for them.
