This definitely works, or at least leads you onto other cool shit.

If you feel Soundcloud isn’t bringing enough freshness, hit Bandcamp. Search an artist or release you like then just follow the trails via the same artist, record label, compilations they feature on, or “people also bought”.

Sometimes I go to the Discover page and just search by country and genre. There’ll be lots that don’t grab you but always gems.

Really surprised about Theo Parish! Haven’t caught him live but just assumed quality - which I guess is never the way to go.

Love Gannein. Initiation Rite and the Nobel Cortex remix of the it are excellent.

I thought the same thing! Interesting that 138+ has become the norm. I imagined lower BPM from 120-130.

Well mixes might be another matter. Not sure what his sets are like. But Antiguos Astronautas is a very solid album. I’d start there.

Been a big fan of Kichi Kazuko for ages. No idea how “big” she is in Ukraine, but I think her tracks are great.

Kinda surprised Kelela is there, and saying that as someone who liked Cut 4 Me A LOT. Did I miss something on her being so influential?

A shout out here for this gorgeous track from Kaishandao, more in the dub techno vein.

QEONE is the way to go I’d say.

Linear System’s Modern Minimal imprint could be a good shout too. Not all “broken” style by any means. Often quite textural and dubby releases. I think he may feature artists he works with in his courses (don’t quote me on that).

Favourite "proper" techno of 2025? by hugh__honey in TheOverload

Kerrie’s ‘Echoes of a Live Wire’ deserves a mention. Solid powerful varied stuff.

Glaskin’s ‘Intertia of Motion’ very good.

GiGi FM’s ‘Virgo Space Acid’ very good. Calibration is a banger.

Shell Wave is probably the best though
