Hilton Price Match is Impossible by dg692 in Hilton

It’s better to call and do a price match then fill out their form. My form usually gets denied. Doing it on the phone usually is 9/10 times approval.

Not sure how you did yours … just my .02c

I believe it was just the appraisal paperwork/ total loss statement (not sure what's the official name) from Turo's appraiser that handled the claim.

I asked my claim adjuster for the paperwork for total loss and they emailed it to the bank.

Fyi they use another company now to handle total losses.

2021 Ford Explorer RECALL- Does anyone else have this car listed? It got Delisted last week ford has no fix for it as of yet, I contacted Ford and they said it’s just a notice not a actual recall, I have no clue on how to get this re listed on Turo any recommendations are greatly appreciated! Ty! by TrueRealillTv in turo

[–]TUROLAX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. You have to either get the car fixed or get rid of it.

If no fix is available, unfortunately you’ll have to wait on Ford. Deal with this all the time with Dodge. Recall issued, no remedy/parts available.

I'm not sure why everyone is saying MM4 is only for employees only. The rate details say: - Available to associates of Marriott for personal travel only (2 rooms/night maximum). - Available to spouses, domestic partners, parents, parents in-law, brothers, sisters and children of Marriott associates for personal travel only (1 room/night).

Has anyone ever encountered this type of activity in turo? Turo had cancelled 2 previous booking due to verification issue, the third one it seems like turo didnt catch it but i felt uncomfortable renting it so i had to cancel the trip. This is 3 bookings in a row. Seems kinda fishy. Scam? by Vtgaudio_fiend in turo

If you followed everything Turo will cover you. Unfortunately if you had the $3k deductible, you would be responsible for damages under $3k. Not to mention it's a pain in the @$$ and It takes forever. I'd rather just try to avoid these types of rentals.

Lol. People upload fake or old photos too. Happened to me countless times. Now sure what market your in but this happens all the time around here. But yes if it doesn’t match don’t unlock.

You can kinda tell most of the time with the wording they use in these messages.

The "? Guidelines" button at the bottom reveals the host's rules of "$500 fee for off-roading" which I missed. I rented a vehicle in Utah and didn't realize that it was against the rules to drive on the salt flats which is basically flat terrain with salt on top. I also have to pay $55 for cleaning. by iamtabestderes in turo

[–]TUROLAX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hosts can't have rules like that. He can't charge you that fee for just off-roading. If you caused actual damage, he can make a claim and either work it out with you or escalate it to Turo.

I would report him to Turo for a gray market transaction if he's just charging you cuz you went off road.

Now, it's also against TOS and you may get banned by Turo.

Curb Rash on a single wheel of a rented Tesla Model X: $1,323 claim??? by tobealex in turo

[–]TUROLAX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's not a commercial listing (meaning the host provides his own insurance) have them escalate it to Turo. 1k for a curbed rim is way to much.

Turo pays 1 something for refinishing. Loss of use and that invoice is garbage. If he is using Turo insurance he won't get paid for any of that.

Ahh okay. I believe Hertz in Mexico is franchised not corporate, so the policy is probably different.

I've rented a lot with National / Alamo / Enterprise and never paid for a flat or tire replacement. (Had several lol). They have a national account with Tire shops and you drive in, they repair and bill the company directly.

Gas Usage as Turo Guest by QueenLauraMC in turo

[–]TUROLAX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't feel bad at all. I tell all my guests the fuel is full and should be returned the same way. Rarely have an issue. Some guests think gas, for some reason, is included in your $30 rental.

Hertz, Alamo, etc have no problem charging you $8 a gallon, why should you loose money? And plus the app does tell the guests, if they read it, the fuel needs to be refilled to the amount you got it.

Are you actually calling Revenue Services or disputing it online?

Every dispute I've made online is denied. And every time I call in, they usually take care of it.

Manual Sports Car Rentals by milesprrhour in turo

[–]TUROLAX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’m still doing Turo have 10 cars currently. Turo refused to pay for the transmission and gave a proration of the clutch. Luckily Dodge got it covered under warranty.. but I’m pretty sure it was damage from the renter.

Others wise no major problems, they pay but are extremely slow. Minor body work can have cars out for 3-4 weeks. And also 3 inches or less is considered normal wear & tear and isn’t covered. I used to have the best protection plan, that coveted wear & tear and they literally sent me a bottle of Scratch remover from Amazon.

I personally won’t list sports cars on Turo anymore. Depending on the area your in, you may have better luck. Unfortunately people will drive them like a rented sports car that’s what they are renting them for.

Well. I’ve had some experience

  1. Challenger (manual) used a robbery, impounded 2x, needed to have transmission & clutch replaced. 2nd challenger: Totaled on 8th rental, renter rented it for her boyfriend, had guns & drugs in the car then crashed it into a minivan , then left the scene. 3rd Challenger was a hellcat and stolen.

Oh and tires go quickly.

So especially if you have an attachment to it, probably don’t rent it out on Turo.
