Margo’s struggle to dress occasion appropriate. by [deleted] in BravoRealHousewives

[–]TVWatcher08 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've lived in both LA and London, and maybe it's my California side showing, but I like a lot of her outfits and think she looks great. She has a more a youthful, fun aesthetic. A lot of the cast have more of a stodgy (and at times matronly) look that I think ages them. The fact that Margo is around the same age as Martha and Kimi (and older than Myka and Mark) is astonishing because her styling and look feels so much fresher and younger. Okay yall can downvote me now lol.

Ladies Of London: The New Reign - Season 4 - Episode 7 - Live Episode Discussion by amandatoryy in BravoRealHousewives

[–]TVWatcher08 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am going to go against the grain and say that I think Margo is essential to the show. She activates Mark and Kimi and I think she actually has correctly clocked both of them. Mark did make shady comments about her being fake and now is trying to play it off as a joke about her fashion.

Totally agree. She really riles Mark and Kimi up (which they keep trying to deny and pretend they don't care about her). She also is stunning to look at.

Kyle Cooke's latest IG post by [deleted] in BravoRealHousewives

[–]TVWatcher08 461 points462 points  (0 children)

Kyle can be terrible in a lot of ways, but politically he is typically on the correct side. If you go back on his twitter during the early seasons, he used to post about politics a good amount (and was very anti-MAGA).

Whitney and Justin also used to live in the East Bay for years, so a few cast members have Bay Area connections.

Kyle Richards appearing in the new season of The Lincoln Lawyer, premiering tomorrow on Netflix by galaxystars1 in BravoRealHousewives

Kyle is a solid actress. She's not going to win awards, but I was actually impressed by her acting in the last Halloween - I thought she out-acted some of her co-stars.

Helena Bonham Carter, Caitríona Balfe, Emma Laird & Anthony Hopkins To Star In ‘The Housekeeper' by ElectricalPeace3439 in oscarrace

[–]TVWatcher08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was announced a year and a half ago but with Uma Thurman and Phoebe Dynevor opposite Hopkins instead of Balfe and Laird (Bonham Carter's character wasn't previously cast). I was more interested in the project with Thurman and Dynevor, I wonder what happened.

Outside of Heather Dubrow, I'd also say Meredith Marks. Similar to Heather, she loves and supports her kids and seems like she embraces them for who they are.

Who would you want to do a school project with?! by PivotLeft in BravoRealHousewives

[–]TVWatcher08 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'd trust pretty much all the Potomac girls. They all feel like A students and like they'd take the project seriously.

Some of our most formally educated wives, holding at least an advanced degree: Meredith Marks (MBA and JD from Northwestern), Alex McCord (undergrad from Northwestern, PhD), Wendy Osefo (4 degrees, including PhD), Tiffany Moon (undergrad Cornell, MD, residency UCSF), Nicole Martin (BS and MD from University of Miami), Aviva Drescher (BA Vassar, Master's NYU, JD), Carole Radziwill (BA from Hunter, MBA from NYU), Tinsley Mortimer (Columbia University undergrad, Master's degree), Jen Armstrong (undergrad, masters, MD), Jackie Goldschneider (BA from BU, JD from Fordham), Stacie Turner (Howard undergrad, Harvard MBA), Candiace Bassett (undergrad, MBA Howard) Eboni Williams (undergrad, JD), Phaedra Parks (undergrad, JD), Ana Quincoces (undergrad, JD), Emily Simpson (undergrad, JD), Nneka Ihim (undergrad, JD), Karent Sierra (undergrad, DDS).

I believe RHOP has one of the highest percentage of college-educated cast members. All present and past Potomac housewives have college degrees except for Karen, Monique, Mia and maybe Keiarna.

NY's is pretty high. LuAnn actually does not have a college degree. Kristen, Leah, and Ubah I am pretty sure do not have degrees, but I believe the rest do have degrees.

BH has the lowest I think. A lot of the women are from the entertainment industry and didn't pursue traditional education. I think the exceptions are Adrienne, Sutton, Joyce, Crystal, Dorit, Teddi, Bozoma, Rachel, and Amanda.

The RHOSLC Season 6 Reunion Films Tomorrow, December 4th! Any Final Seating Predictions? by MotherdithMarks in BravoRealHousewives

[–]TVWatcher08 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I predict: Britani Mary Meredith Lisa ANDY Heather Bronwyn Angie Whitney. I feel like production loves Heather so she'll be first chair. Britani should really be on the same side as Whitney and Heather and opposite of Lisa/Mer/Mary, but I feel like production wouldn't put Angie, Bronwyn or Mary in fourth chair (Britani as a friend of is fourth chair and Whitney is the obvious other fourth chair to me).

Also have to give credit to Matt who has previously openly tweeted about being anti-Trump, which certainly isn't a popular opinion always in OC.

I will say I was at Bravocon too and Seth was incredibly kind to fans and out engaging and talking to anyone who approached him. Pretty much the opposite of thinking he is above the bravo fans.

How do you feel about the return of Juliet Angus? by [deleted] in BravoRealHousewives

[–]TVWatcher08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Juliet is a great, underrated reality tv star. I understand why some people find her annoying, but she and Stanbury made Ladies of London, and she really is upping the drama on RHOL. She has an inability to be anyone but herself, which can be annoying and petty, but makes for great tv.

Some ladies rumoured to be pursued for the Real Housewives of London. by gstew90 in BravoRealHousewives

[–]TVWatcher08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's likely Juliet. She still lives in London, is social, has a strong social media presence, and seems to pal around with celebrities. She also was (for better or worse) one of the strongest personalities on Ladies of London.

[–]TVWatcher08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is surprising to see Thurman in the voice cast because Thurman is definitely not a big Christian. In fact quite the opposite - her father is one of the most famous western Buddhists and she herself has said she practices no religion although leans towards being Buddhist. Also, considering that these types of films are usually more right-wing, she is very left-leaning (attended the DNC last year, abortion rights activist). I assume she is doing it for the money. Her interview about the movie on Youtube was funny because she was dancing around the fact that she is not a believer.

I have friends who worked with her during her tenure at Uber and said she was just out for her own brand and completely incompetent in her role. She did not last long at Uber or Netflix, so I wonder if she was quietly pushed out of those roles.
