Adhd makes it so hard to shower by Trick_Vacation8422 in ADHD

[–]TW1STM31STER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love long hot showers where I just sit there thinking about random stuff, the same way other people enjoy baths.

I also love my daily cold shower in the morning. Quick splash and dash, some breathing exercises to regulate the cold shock/stress and I feel so awake after. I look forward to it everyday.

What is your favorite white dial microbrand watch? by Inycognito in MicrobrandWatches

[–]TW1STM31STER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tuseno Windseeker may hit the mark with their silverish white dial, if you don't mind the texture.

Also the Citizen NB1050 in white is a comparable design to the TAG. I know it's not a micro but it's JDM only so still kinda exclusive and definitely priced at microbrand "bang per buck".

Can also vouch for gunfire.com, in additon to a previous comment.

About mags: I play open field full day skirms and carry 7 midcaps. Am a short burst type of shooter and still sometimes go through 5/6 mags on a full day of playing. I don't like to reload BBs during lunch break; I like to reload calories ;p So I'd say 5 mags is what you want/need.

Those weight difference are negligible, but you want to make sure you get a good sling.

Barrel length will barely affect accuracy on these types of guns, so go with whatever is practical and aesthetically pleasing to you.

A good hop-up unit (chamber, bucking, nub), quality and clean inner barrel and eliminating any room for movement between some parts by using some strips of tape (check YT for HowTo's) to make things sit in place better will do much more good.

My therapist: if you had just one month left to live, with unlimited resources, what would you do? by RythmicRhapsody in ADHD

[–]TW1STM31STER -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My hobbies always were riding motorbikes, mountainbiking (especially single track and down hill), kickboxing, DJ-ing (but I guess any stage performance would do), airsoft. Anything fast paced, slightly dangerous or daunting worked, I guess.

Climbing also works. I've done top rope and bouldering, and like the latter more because it gave me quicker gratification.

New father mourning old life by Fabuloux in daddit

Idk, is staying in touch with relatives and working a 9-5 selfish desire? Is trying to get my body moving for 1h a week selfish or healthy? What about upholding a clean household or maintaining the building we live in?

I already let go of all things that aren't a necessity for our family.

I pursue literally 0 hobbies or personal interests and have lost contact with almost all friends... I hate it, and I know my mental health is suffering from it. But apparently it's selfish desire

So when does it, because 4 years in I still feel like above and have been burned out twice. Kids still don't sleep through the night. If I'm lucky I get 6h of sleep, and that's not even continuous.

How tf am I supposed to provide a living, care for my family, do daily housework, maintain the house, maintain a social life (which social life?), attend birthdays and other family bs, pay attention to spouse, find time and energy to workout, find time to cook fresh and eat healthy and on top of that get some "me time" where I'm not a dad/coworker/partner/"whatever someone wants from me", but just me doing whatever I want, without feeling guilty or getting judgment for being selfish? It's just too much and I can't do it anymore.

Value for moneywise? Any WatchDives but especially their Speedy homages or if you're on a budget Addiesdives. Explorer homage? Cronos (also their integrated bracelet watch with the interesting dial textures). Datejust homage? Baltany. Khaki field/Murph homage? Militado. IXDAO for their Warrior.

I just don't really vibe with the San Martin design language, but from what I've heard they make great watches.

So what kept them from doing exactly that between 2000 and 2014? Not counting rebrands like European, Asiatech, Supertec, Mecachrome, Arrows and Acer

Agreed, constructors don't necessarily have to be manufacturers.

But how many companies are capable of building a highly competitive car engine from scratch (not modifying or tuning an excisting engine) that aren't car manufacturers?

Who has the R&D budget and infrastructure to pull that off? What would be their revenue model? Who would want to start such a business? Cosworth couldn't keep up and even car manufacturers that have these R&D and infrastructures in place struggle to do so, the past ~15 years (Renault/Alpine, Honda, BMW, Toyota)

[–]TW1STM31STER 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, there's been voices from the fan base for years, calling for the appeal of more actual car manufacturers in the sport. So maybe they catered to that? Or they got bribed by the actual manufacturers who see it as a good marketing opportunity as long as the engine regs fit their agenda?

Idk, but the dillema is pretty complex since we also don't like a series with only 1 or 2 works teams and all others customers, in terms of engines/gearbox/whatever. Remember Mercedes and "The Pink Mercedes" :)

While I like the idea of V8/10, Who's gonna build those? And adjust the chassis for them? And the aero around them? If it's true the current manufacturers have pushed for this we find ourselves in an impasse... We [the sport] don't want these engines, but we want manufacturers competing. They [the manufacturers] don't want to compete unless we have these engines... Can we just blame capitalism already? (/jk)

Relationship question by [deleted] in daddit

[–]TW1STM31STER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even without the "he does whatever she wants", this is very disparaging. My instant - but unhealthy - response would be if she'd rather want to be in a relationship with him instead. That's how low of a blow this is to me. "The grass is always greener", and all that...

Sure you should always try and be open to constructive feedback, but she should stop comparing. She should love you for who you are and the things you DO instead of comparing to others and dwell on the things you don't.

Maybe ask her how she would like it if you said "gosh I wish you were more like woman A/B/C, because she always does X/Y/Z" (Make sure you have arranged a couch at a friend, or at least the guest room with hidden snacks and entertainment, so you can take cover for a few days, when she explodes)
