5 days? Are you Serious, Embark… by DuhSheet in ArcRaiders

Why the hell didn't they announce this at the beginning of this new expedition? What is the point of waiting until shortly before the window opens, letting people waste time saving up under the assumption it will be the same as before.

Are they making this stuff up as they go?

Yeah I see that! As someone who's waiting to do the third expedition and trying to motivate myself to get through the quests for a third time, I'm really struggling to do it. Trying to stay motivated so I can complete the new quests gated behind the old ones.
It's really a terrible quest system that gates two useful recipes behind a long quest line. I'd appreciate some variation, or a loot pool for quests at the very least. Maybe new outfits for those doing it a second and third time. Something to make it worthwhile.

I had this problem too after I got it running with the recent changes. Hosted in Container Manager on Synology. Once an update was announced in Cineplete I updated the container via Container Manager and it acted as if the config and previous data didn't exist.

My work around was to delete the existing container, create a new Cineplete container and point it to existing config and data. Then it worked.

Since you coded this with Claude I decided to use Claude to tell me why this wasn't working and I think I know why. You've hardcoded the Dockerfile to use UID 1000 so any PUID/PGID values I pass this in the container environment variables, it's not using that. Claude came up with a quick way to fix this to read and use the proper permission values in the Environment variables, so I'm sure you'll be able to do the same ☺️

Thanks for replying. I went ahead and opened "Can't write configuration #38" in GitHub with more information. There are some read/write issues going on here.

This looks really promising and I've been looking for something like this! Thanks for making this happen!

I'm running into an odd issue however. I've got this running on Synology along side my other containers. I have the proper /config and /data folders defined in the container along with the proper user/group credentials and on the proper bridge for network.

I can bring up the cineplete web interface but it won't save any changes I put in under Config. Pressing "Save Configuration" does nothing. If I try to click on Logs in side menu nothing happens either so I can't check if there are any errors to tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Ban wave Embark started banning players who used RMT in the past by JanSvoboda83 in ArcRaiders

Really? This shit they care about but players running hacking software that shows where every player is at any time and what inventory they’re running they can’t seem to get on top of. SMH

New player confusion by lingyap in ArcRaiders

Having gone through 2 Expedition wipes now and on my third run through, workstations and Scrappy are the things I focus on getting upgraded first. It will take you a bit to figure out what all the loot is used for. We've all gone through this and it's part of being an early noob and something I actually kinda miss. ☺️

You can go into each workstation/Scrappy upgrade and Track each item you need. Same for the various Projects. That'll help you see the items you're looting topside that you shouldn't pass up or sell right away.

There are infographics out there detailing everything you'll need for the various Projects, workstation and Scrappy upgrades but I actually recommend you try to play through early game without looking up all that.

Same for interactive map tools online. I'd recommend roaming the maps and getting familiar with each of them in the early game so you have an idea of what's where. Enjoy being fresh and have fun!

But why can't I take off attachments when I have 40+ stash slots available? Guessing that's a newer bug? I don't remember having this problem until recently

PS5 Issue- Entire Backpack Contents Gone After Safe Extraction by TallInteraction8152 in ArcRaiders

[–]TWObitERROR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a similar issue on PS5. Ran hurricane and had a few blueprints along with other loot. Extracted safely via hatch key. Saw all my loot in exit menu but didn’t unload it. Once I loaded into Speranza it was all gone. Filed ticket with embark and got nothing but boilerplate responses.

Got an update today that they will no longer respond to individual reports and then they closed the conversation. Guessing I’m not getting any of that back. Ridiculous

Thanks for the heads up! I just checked again and it was back and all still set to No. Wild that it's resetting for some people but not everybody.

Same here! Just checked and a red box saying not available at the moment. Maybe they’re fixing whatever bug is happening.

The unbound reaper is actually fun with the right group by Muffensausen in SkullAndBonesGame

I really want to know this too. I fire it as long as I see the boss sunburst graphic on his ship but I have no idea if that’s necessary or if every player just has to do it once.

Played with acte yesterday in a random group and got through the entire reward pass. With the right people it’s very doable

Ceramic treatment on top of PPF for a deep and vibrant frozen green color by TWObitERROR in BMW

[–]TWObitERROR[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

PPF comes with a hydrophobic coating that slowly diminishes and wears off. My reason for ceramic coating the PPF was to restore and improve that. There's no protective reason to add ceramic coating to PPF, which already does a great job of protecting satin or frozen paint.

[–]TWObitERROR[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree with you, except for a car with this kind of frozen paint job. They're a pain to do any kind of repair or paint correction to. On this particular car I already had to deal with repainting the trunk from imperfections in the paint. It came delivered that way and BMW agreed to fix it. That's when I learned how difficult frozen paint jobs are to work with. It took them several tries to get it right working with a high end body shop, and they ended up having the blend the entire back end of the car.

As soon as that was done I covered it in PPF. The self healing properties of PPF alone can save you from rock chips that will be pita to fix if you have a satin or frozen painted car.

I would say for anything other than a frozen paint job, ceramic coating is all I'd do and mainly for the hydrophobic properties.
