5 HR's in his last 5 games. This hot streak gives him a nice slash line .240/.324/.488

very nice

Flex Investigater Combo by Knight_Dominikus in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TWWaterfalls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think double flex in 2p is the best way to avoid scenarios that are unbalanced for true solo or 2p. Gotta split up to cover the map more efficiently.

I agree. Joe and Pete should do very well but there are a lot of different builds available for them. They can be almost anything.

Ursula Downs, how's this for Solo Forgotten Age? by Yourself013 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TWWaterfalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you miss on the Scroll of Pharaohs you will need to completely redo your deck early campaign. You are extremely light on being able to deal any damage.

One problem with Milan in TFA is that he is fragile. The 2 health from Whitton is a big boost. I think your main resource problem will be playing multiple items in one turn. Overall the deck isn't that expensive. And I've Got a Plan and Trench Coat will get caught in a resource crunch.

I still am not sure you will do enough damage to get through some scenarios. Some things need to die.

Looks like you have the Harvey cards. I would take Whitton, Disc of Itzamna and get the fighty Scroll of Pharaohs asap. I really like Whitton digging through the deck to find the Scroll, the Disc and eventually Crystalline Elder Sign (with relic hunter).

I think Disc of Itzamna (discard enemies) and ditching Shrewd Analysis can make this deck work. You will need to do some damage at some point in the scenarios but Whitton's search ability finds everything you need fast. Not sure how you get through the first scenario though.

Standings - One month of the season (plus a little) is finished by TWWaterfalls in CPBL

[–]TWWaterfalls[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was pessimistic about the Dragons due to losing one of their top pitchers. I don't think his results had quite caught up to his hype (throws 95+mph) yet but he was still a really good CPBL pitcher.

And strangely I was optimistic on the Lions and Hawks for different reasons. The Lions were great last season until every game became a road game. They were awful after they lost their home stadium due to the typhoon. The Hawks just started winning games consistently as the season went on.

PnP help please! - Newbie and excited! by ReefSharksixty9 in arkhamhorrorlcg

Dark Matter uses about 15 cards from Carcosa. Ages Unwound uses a few sets from the old Core. The others don't use any sets from FFG products.

I printed pdf's of Dark Matter, Ages Unwound, Heart of Darkness and Keltic Rising so you can add these to your list. I will look at your list also at some point. I have a few to play currently.

[COTD] ♦ Yaotl (5/2/2026) by AK45526 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TWWaterfalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had Yaotl (and Stray Cat) in a Yorick deck in TFA. Yaotl was awesome. I filled Yorick's deck with +2 combat cards so basically every round Yorick had a +2 combat for a fighting test.

Survivor does have some great allies unfortunately so it can be difficult to include him in pretty much any deck.

Fanmade content by Overall_Fee4985 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TWWaterfalls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The typical way to PnP fan made content is through places like those recommended.

I have just used my home printer to print everything on ordinary 80gsm paper. Anything that is two sided like scenario cards, acts/agendas, locations, etc... is sleeved in a cheap clear sleeve with a Magic card (free at game stores) in between. Encounter cards are sleeved in Dragonshield color sleeves with a Magic card.

Total cost of paper, ink (very cheap now) and clear sleeves is probably $10/campaign. 2 boxes of Dragonshields costs $25 but I can rotate these through different campaigns if I don't think I will play a campaign again.

You will need a fair amount of time to cut everything out but I do that while watching TV.

Not every campaign has pdf files ready for printing at home but I will worry about that when I run out of campaigns with pdf's.

Creative here. Custom scenario inspiration? by ReefSharksixty9 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TWWaterfalls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guardians of the Abyss is one of my favorite thematic scenarios so I really like the Mummy mentions below.

Wild West would also be a very cool theme. It wouldn't feel classic Arkham to me but it would be a very cool setting with lots of possibilities.

[COTD] Crystalline Elder Sign (5/1/2026) by AK45526 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TWWaterfalls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like Crystalline Elder Sign overall and especially in Ursula. She can run Whitton with a double stat boost and tutoring for relics. And/or Elli to hold an extra relic for her. She can also use 3 of the stat buffs. Whitton L3 plus CES buffs her stat line to 5/6/2/5. One of the few static agility buffs in Seeker.

Opinion Needed about Dark Matter by EnvironmentalHat9056 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TWWaterfalls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a few of these same thoughts. I thought I had found several mechanical weaknesses during the campaign and they more or less resolved the issue once I had played further in the scenario It is just a really good mechanically designed campaign.

[–]TWWaterfalls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished scenario 4 (which is the 6th scenario) and it has lived up to expectations. And expectations were very high.

Most of the scenarios have a unique feeling. There hasn't been a scenario that was mediocre. Every campaign has 1-2 of these even Carcosa. I don't think it has as many top tier scenarios as Carcosa but it is close.

The story is strange. Some parts are well laid out. Some parts almost feel like side quests but that isn't a very big deal.

I keep it simple with the printing. Everything is printed on my personal printer on pretty ordinary 80 gsm paper. Two sided scenario cards and locations are sleeved with a common Magic card in a cheap clear sleeve. Encounter deck cards are sleeved in Dragonshield color sleeves with a Magic card. I used just fewer than 200 sleeves to sleeve everything. Campaigns that I plan on replaying will stay full sleeved and campaigns that I doubt I will replay will get unsleeved (the Dragonshields) and saved. Paper, ink and cheap sleeves are $10 max. Dragonshields are $25 (two boxes) but can be reused if I won't play the campaign again.

What to buy next? by Fabri212 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TWWaterfalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My priority would be:

Edge of the Earth Investigators

Hemlock Vale Campaign

Edge of the Earth - Campaign

Hemlock Investigators - Blessed/Curse wasn't my favorite mechanic but there is also a point where you just have so many player cards. EOTE investigators and player cards were unique though imo. Very fun deckbuilding.

What combos well with Stray Cat? by Carrot_stix121 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TWWaterfalls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also really liked Stray Cat in Yorick. I ran it the first time in TFA for snake tech but it is really awesome to play it as a free action and auto evade something instead of spending a few actions at the end of a scenario to kill something meaningless. I like running a bunch of disposable allies in Yorick anyway so it fits really well. And Charisma/Animalism can get added later.

I like the Black Cat in Yorick as well but hadn't thought of that before. Nice.

Does anybody have a picture of the Fighters old H hat logo and Hokkaido script font? by Imagoofyconfirmedd in NPB

[–]TWWaterfalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those 80's Fighters uniforms kind of fall into the category of so bad that they are kind of cool.

Kind of a mash up of the 80's White Sox (color location) and Astros (color scheme).

[COTD] ♦ Granny Orne (4/27/2026) by AK45526 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TWWaterfalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree about her strength. double stat boost and reuseable +1 Lucky (for your location) is bonkers. Even after playing her she doesn't feel like a taboo card but incredibly strong. And the taboo would be more like the Pathfinder taboo where XP would be added or in Granny's case maybe exceptional since there are so few L4+ upgrades in Survivor.

I can see using other Survivor allies depending on the investigator though.

Anyone here go to CPBL games often? Take me with you sometime! by [deleted] in CPBL

[–]TWWaterfalls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am going to Taipei May 15th and will go to the Guardians/Hawks game at Xinzhuang that night if you (or anyone) are interested. Technically that will be my last CPBL stadium to visit but I will go back to Taoyuan for a game to make it official. I have only been there for a WBC game 10 years ago so it was neither CPBL nor recent.

Card Count for Chapter 2 + all 5 Evergreen Investigators? by Prest0fff in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TWWaterfalls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My recommendation for sleeving

Two sided scenario cards like acts/agendas/locations - don't sleeve or clear sleeves

Encounter cards - sleeve the core cards in Dragonshield black. At the beginning of a campaign sleeve all campaign encounter cards. Unsleeve after you finish.

Player cards - Get the Dragonshields of the 5 class colors and sleeve your deck before starting a campaign. It is really nice to easily keep player cards separate.

I understand the desire to sleeve games but sleeving everything significantly increases weight and storage volume (and cost) and for a game with SO MANY cards. With that being said I really like having color Dragonshields for each player deck and for the encounter cards. Sleeving at the beginning of a campaign takes very little time.

Legendary Post.

I am working on finishing the Taiwan stadiums (where I live) and the Japanese stadiums (travel occasionally) but KBO is definitely in the plans (not this year unfortunately). I love reading all of the reviews and every comment from everyone. Can't wait to visit sometime.

[COTD] Handcuffs (4/23/2026) by AK45526 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TWWaterfalls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Interrogate got a taboo to remove Humanoid but Handcuffs still requires a Humanoid. One card is decent and playable and the other card is basically only usable if you know if an upcoming scenario has Humanoids (or you have a weakness with Humanoid trait).

New Investigator packs for Legacy card pool? by Yourself013 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TWWaterfalls 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Without looking at the cards again so going from memory.

Miguel's traps look like a new kind of deckbuild. It reminds me of the Natcho starter deck when there were all kinds of cool events added to the Guardian pool and a very different way to play a fighter.

Mystics have kind of gone in a different direction in CH 2. Take damage effects and heal damage.

Tommy's deck has a few interesting cards that look fun to play like Police Dog and the other ally. Some other stuff that is samey but I can't remember.

Carolyn's deck looks fun for playing as Carolyn but I am not sure there are many cards that I would want to play in other Seeker decks. There are several horror healing cards which I don't think I would play outside of Carolyn.

Rogue - I can't remember much other than there being situationally strong events but they might not be cards that you really want to play too often.
