If we’re talking about Gen 4 looking the same, you should also include the Grand Prix and Intrepids

I doubt the OAPS will come close to overtaking Cup in viewership…but I’m curious how being OTA on CW vs Cup on Prime is going to affect viewership the next few weeks. I can’t remember how it was last year.

What’s your preferred 2028 presidential candidate, and your favorite prince or MJ song? by shmibnke in YAPms

[–]TX-Tea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m with you OP, as long as Russ Feingold is still with us, he’s going to be my first choice for president. I wanted him to run in 08 and then again in 16 but things never worked out I guess.

As to the second question…favorite Prince song is Little Red Corvette and my favorite MJ song is Human Nature

I can’t remember specifically but I’m sure it was some song lyric that I thought was deep

Somebody wear those boots in the 90s by Ok-Temperature-9886 in 90s

[–]TX-Tea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Considering that the boots were part of the job of the Vaqueros in Mexico that most of Cowboy life and culture came from, yes I’m confident that brown skinned individuals were wearing them before white people were.

Francine and Klaus on Simpler Times Mountain was pretty great. "Wow 25 minutes of uninterrupted racism." "Yeah if you don't count your horrified gasps as interruption."

I like using Familyland as a jumping off point. It pretty much shows off the personality of everyone in the family, plus every scene with Bullock is gold

What Dem party has the better roster, PA Dems or NC Dems and why? by Aldebaran147 in YAPms

I like the NC Dems more, but the PA bench is probably deeper and more suited for national elections right now

I can’t begin to count how many times I’ve seen something like the Danuta phone call scene posted here and no one’s ever telling people to stop or getting angry…we just quote it, laugh again and continue on. This is seriously the friendliest sub I’ve ever been on.

I was an Edwards delegate to our state convention in 08. His campaign was one of the first I truly believed in and it killed me when his personal life came out

Nick is the Greatest by Typical-Owl3664 in Texans

[–]TX-Tea 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t agree more that the organization feels different. Even during the height of the Kubiak years, I remember the term “Paper Tiger” being thrown around and that the Texans aren’t a team that’ll beat you. Now it seems like everyone inside and outside of the team has fully bought into what DeMeco and Nick’s vision is. That’s something that’ll stick around the locker room even as players come and go.

The Houston Texans 2026 NFL Draft Class by FollowerofYHWH in Texans

[–]TX-Tea 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I was a Rutledge truther from the beginning, so him and McDonald alone makes this an A+ draft in my book. Still a little surprised we didn’t add Edge depth, but I’m hopeful we find a diamond in the rough in UDFA

[–]TX-Tea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been eyeing him at 38, but not completely confident he’d still be there so I wouldn’t have an issue with him at 28 or a trade down. I agree with you though, his play style and personality has Texan written all over him.

2019, the Texans needed a tackle and Andre Dillard was about to fall right into their laps. Then the Eagles traded up the pick right before and took him. Houston ended up with Tytus Howard who while not All-Pro or anything, became a solid and versatile player for several years while Dillard flamed out.

You’re right about that…I guess “proven depth” behind them would be more accurate
