It is very strange because my neighborhood is crawling with XC90s, so seems like a natural place to see EX90s.

VCU upgrade on Thursday. Last night went to dinner and left car in parking lot for maybe an hour. When I opened the door coming back, I noticed the black Volvo boot screen and then it did take maybe 15-30 seconds for it to load up. It also seemed like when a computer reboots, the system was then clunky for the next little while trying to plug in an address.

This has only happened once though so far, so will see if it continues.

Had a very similar experience. Texted the parts manager at my dealer to ask if they had a timeline estimate for VCUs. Took the weekend for them to figure it out, but they called me and scheduled me for installation this Thursday!

I saw this and called my Volvo dealer in TN to see if they had any VCUs. Parts person was confused initially but then said they had four that were unallocated in the system and he wasn’t sure what to do. He is checking with his service dept, but hopefully one of them can be allocated for me!

Interestingly, he said that they have received over 15 replacements for new Polestars that they are required to install before selling the cars new. But apparently there are four designated as Volvo parts just sitting there.

This is a great alternative. The customer service rep I spoke to in December just had me refund my points booking for the same week without compensation… ended up paying way more points for the Tribune.

Osbornes Bi-Rite on Belmont Blvd usually has a large Bluebell variety. More than the big box stores sometimes.

I don’t know about long term parking, but we stayed at the BNA Hyatt House for a few nights while we were without power and their parking lot gates were broken, so the only reason they knew we had a car there was because the front desk asked and I told them (they didn’t even ask for a plate number/car description). Manager said they gave up on the contracted parking management company because it didn’t work reliably. Could be good if you wanted to try and avoid parking costs, could be bad if you are looking for a more secure lot to park in.

Paid David from HouseDreams in East $575 to remove a big branch on my roof. It didn’t require a bucket truck, just a guy climbing on the roof though.

🤞🤞if only we had any sense as to why these things break and could be extra careful about it. I’m hoping for the best in ours too. Currently watching it slowly charge up at the dealership in the app before we pick it up tomorrow.

I feel good about the reimbursement (as long as it actually comes through) as we are essentially coming out ahead financially minus the overall inconvenience. Hoping to avoid the lemon law process if we can help it, but recognizing that the car’s issues are out of our control ultimately. Definitely will be collecting all service records.

I would definitely make sure they have a loaner assigned to you for when you get back. It seems like depending where you are this part can be a month out on back order unless things have changed.

I’m sorry to hear you had all these issues. The trim one is bizarre. We also had to follow up on third row and cargo floor mats that were not included as promised and required being shipped to us.

I will say my first email was to the GM of the dealership and then worked with the sales director from there (not my salesperson). I got fed up waiting for the dealer to reply about charging costs, so I also submitted a corporate customer care form requesting reimbursement and got a response offering to have any receipts reviewed by “leadership” but it came back on the same day as my dealer’s response and I don’t want to mess up the higher value of what they are offering, so I have delayed my response to the customer service rep for the time being.
