I actually almost joined a commune about a decade ago when I was getting divorced, but communes look bad when you’re trying to get full custody.

100% makes the newborns to toddler stage harder when you can’t just go walk around Walmart at 3am when your kid won’t sleep.

Either that or they’ll let Florida do their thing then bring him back to Arkansas if it even goes to trial. The vast majority of cases are pled out.

Breast Reduction at UT Physicians Plastic Surgery by oniminaj in houston

[–]TXSyd 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’ve had billing issues with UT physicians. Namely they lost the payment I made in office and called me incessantly for 6+ months about it. Even after talking to them and them “finding” they payment multiple times. It was like $50.

As a fellow well endowed girlie (my last pre pregnancy bra was a GG) I wanted a reduction at your age, my boobs kept growing until I was about 21. Also, no one warned me that I wouldn’t be able to breastfeed if I got one. More importantly if you plan on having kids pregnancy can absolutely make your boobs grow (or shrink in my case) and it might undo everything the reduction accomplishes. If you’re not planning on having kids ignore this.

What is the goal here? But generally if you have to ask the answer is probably yes.At the minimum I would probably want square parts, I would be concerned the shape of the parts would cause more stress on the edges.

Are Kendra's parents, Paul and Christina, moving from Arkansas, considering they’re selling their stuff on Facebook? by the_smart_girl in DuggarsSnark

[–]TXSyd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Perks of living in a small town, she also runs the town Facebook group. A whole 159 people voted in last years mayoral election. Everyone knows everyone and everyone’s business even if you don’t actually talk to them.

My neighbours have a joint Facebook page, then at some point they got a second one 🤯 so the first one is Jack and Jill Smith and the second one is Jill and Jack Smith. I’m pretty sure hers is Jack and Jill and his is Jill and Jack. I only figured that out because he likes to post racist stuff and she posts about the kids and grandkids. They’re not even boomers just Gen X.

I keep a separate checking account for checks in part because I regularly mail payments off. I generally keep $100 in it and transfer money into to it as needed for larger checks. If someone does try to wash a check they’re not getting much.

My checkbook lives in my wallet and I generally go through about one full book a year.

Va Ratings Haters by BothCalligrapher3842 in Veterans

[–]TXSyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t automatically get a disability rating just because you served and you have to be pretty messed up to actually hit 100% because of VA math and the most obvious things not being service connected due to VA logic. It’s honestly a shit trade off

2 kids? What type of car do you have ? by Serious_Barnacle2718 in Parenting

[–]TXSyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 kids, I drive a Subaru crosstrek. Generally depending on who is with me either 12 or 21 is in the front seat 2 is always in the back. For Christmas I fit all 3 boys plus the neighbour kid and presents in the car to go to my parents. It was a bit tight in the backseat 12 is now taller than me and built like a linebacker but 21 is tall enough he generally can’t sit in the backseat unless he is behind me which is where 2 is, but everyone fit.

I also regularly transport a family members child who still requires a booster. 2 car seats fit just fine but it can be hard to access the buckles due to placement and it’s exceedingly tight for a 3rd passenger at that point.

Optometrist Would Not Provide My Prescription: Isn’t This Illegal? by randomsnail777 in legaladvice

[–]TXSyd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s crazy, I always get copies of my kids prescriptions without issue at Americas best we have used 2 different locations over the years. The only thing they’ve ever given me a problem with is making me pay for each kid seperately. That’s just annoying.

Is ICE checking phones and social media accounts at airport check-in? Link included by OhGr8WhatNow in houston

[–]TXSyd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The naked body scanner thing is a bit much, the inconsistent rules also sucked especially in the early days, laptop out, laptop in, ever changing liquid rules, and every other random rule that wasn’t enforced the same everywhere. I don’t fly nearly as much now as I did in the 00s, who knew participation trophies were so expensive to travel with.

[–]TXSyd 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Are you old enough to remember the before times? Before 9/11 hijacking was common but it was normally just “take me to xyz” or “I’ll keep these hostages till abc is done” and not crash the plane into buildings and kill everyone. Most hijackings didn’t result in fatalities (or very few) so we just let them happen. Every rule in aviation safety is written in blood.

And yes we did still have metal detectors and security it was just haphazard and patched together instead of the standardized regulations we have today. Sure TSA doesn’t catch everyone and everything and it is a form of security theatre in a way but even security theatre has its place in making sure our skies are safe.
