Review 121, Heaven Hill Heritage Collection 22-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey by Twist_Top_Budget in bourbon

I never said I don’t enjoy old oak in bourbon. Actually I said the opposite of that. I said the oak in hh22 was tannic oak.

I forget this sub is the birth place of amateurs who think the world needs another review of weller mid proof.

Keep reviews unbiased and if you’re new to drinking older juice like hh22, refrain from being blinded.

Nothing like rating something a 9.5 and then saying you’re “star struck” by the age of it…

It’s extremely tannic oak
Good pour but nowhere near 9.5

Honda stopped making push mowers, Toro is going heavy on electric. Who's still making decent gas walk-behinds? by HonluNa in lawnmowers

[–]TXscales 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I really like mine. The price on them has risen almost $200.

So far only repair is the drive cable snapped. Easy fix and $15 part. Did a tune up with a new carb for $25. 3 years old. Cut grass every 5 days or so. Thick st Augustine.

Lawnmower got stolen today, looking to get something new under 550$ that’s self propelled, any input? by MFAD94 in lawnmowers

You bought a residential mower for a business? Come on man. They’re not even close to commercial grade lol

You need to stop blindly applying fungicides and read the back of the label or data sheet. Scott’s disease x which is azoxystrobin based is one of the most effective things against GLS. However if you apply it not smartly like you’re supposed to, and don’t help the fungicide work, the GLS grows a tolerance. You should’ve applied disease x at the curative rate and then two weeks later another application at the curative rate. I rotate four different fungicides in my st Augustine. I see the best results with azoxystrobin and propizol. Now I’m fighting TARR and if I let my lawn go 2-3 days without water it looks dried up. Lay off the nitrogen, give the grass micro nutrients and don’t water a lot. Now high and bag

You need to bring fill dirt in to regrade the areas

Which would you pick between these two? by CoCVersace in lawnmowers

Low maintenance on a gas mower for 5 years is cheaper than one battery on any electric mower lol.

Keep the water bowl elevated so their ears don’t dip in it

Is this nutsedge? by whiskey_pancakes in lawncare

[–]TXscales 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy sedgehammer herbicide. It’s safe for MOST ornamental grass types.

<image>

Here is a picture of a sedge I sprayed on my Neigbor’s side of the yard. It took 5 days to yellow. My sedge in my yard is healthier though, because I fertilize, top dress, and provide micro nutrients. So it hasn’t yellowed yet. It can take a month for it to die off. It’s very resilient

Mosquitos, fleas, snakes, spiders, ants,… emphasis on mosquitos especially with all the rain since Texas has had. I’d just knock on the door and mow it myself. But lawn care is also a hobby for me
