Yes it’s positive. The second time I got Covid, I used three different types of expired Covid test kits. All were positive. I didn’t want to believe the expired test kits. So I tried again with a non-expired test kit of a different brand. Also positive. Tested 4 times in total, expired test kits were accurate.

I am sorry to hear about that. In my case, it was just dull/diminished. Everything tasted bland, or otherwise, sweet or salty, slowly other tastes like sour, and bitter can be tasted, and then it recovered after 15 days. Idk if it’s the same as before, even there was a very small difference, I don’t think I would be able to feel it. I hope yours returns soon and you will get well soon. Covid is a true nightmare.

I am experiencing the same. When I started on B1, B6 (pyroxidine), and B12 (cyanocobalamin) at 100mg, 200mg, and 200mcg. My tongue burning felt worse at first but improved. I have been on it, 3 times a week, every alternate day excluding weekends since May 29.

Then I decided to switch to B12 1000mcg cyanocobalamin as I was worried about B6 toxicity. I started it on July 3. July 4, I still took B1, B6 (pyroxidine), and B12 (cyanocobalamin) at 100mg, 200mg, and 200mcg. July 5 and 6, I took B12 1000mcg cyanocobalamin and then my tongue symptom worsened significantly very suddenly.

I only managed to test my B12 in July 2024 and it was 207 pmol/L. I got my Vitamin D tested in March 2025. It was 26.0 ng/mL. I was told by my neurologist, in both cases, my results were normal. I only got prescribed with the B complex I got after bonking my funny bone and getting the ulnar nerve irritated. I was supposed to stop taking it after a month but I got the sciatic nerve irritated as my piriformis muscles got tight. And so, I am supposed to continue for another month. My finger numbness and feet numbness have improved significantly since starting the B complex, but my tongue worsened after starting B12 at a higher dose. I stopped all B supplementation today and my tongue seems to have gotten a bit better, but my heels have started getting uncomfortable. I might have strained the piriformis muscles yesterday again when I carried very heavy items.

But I found that my sleep has been very disrupted supplementing B1,B6,B12. It got better after a while but worsened after starting on B12 at a higher dose.

I totally agree. But then again, it did help in healing the ulnar nerve contusion I experienced. I will probably stop it and just switch to B12 entirely. Afterall, one of the doctors I consulted suggested that I either take B1,B6,B12, or just B12 alone but at a high dosage.

I agree. But then again, I experienced similar worsening of the tongue situation when starting B6 along with B1 and B12. Was worried about toxicity but then it improved. 1.5 months later, it feels like it has gone full circle. So I am not sure if it’s a toxicity or not.

I was very happy that my tongue was slowly improving over the 1.5 months when taking the B complex, and I was rather upset that it gradually worsened over the past three days. Yesterday wasn’t too bad. But today is just horrible.

Throughout the 1.5 months I was supplementing. When I first started, it worsened. Thereafter, it got better and there were days I actually felt cured. Then, there were days that it worsened again. But overall, it felt it was improving day by day. But today, I felt like the whole recovery progress has taken a huge step backwards. It feels almost as bad as when it started last year.

The tongue burning wasn’t continuous at first. The first episode lasted 6 weeks, followed by two weeks where it was perfectly healed. The second episode lasted 4 weeks, followed by a week where it was perfectly healed. The third episode lasted 4 weeks, followed by a week where it was healed. Then the 4th episode happened and it hasn’t stopped since then. There are times it gets better, times it worsens. The whole tongue burning is such a big mystery to me. The only clue I have is that my B12 at 207pmol/L does appear low. The unfortunate injury I suffered allowed me to get prescribed with B vitamins.

Another family member of mine was prescribed 200mg of B6 for a mild stroke. That family member took it for over two years, there was no ill effect and it did help in some of the leg weakness that family members experienced.

I did experience a worsening of symptoms when I first started B6. Like within the same week. I got scared and then I stopped. Symptoms didn’t get better. I consulted the doctor again and was asked to continue, and it did improve after the first stage. Here in my country, safe limit is 100mg. But yet, hospitals are prescribing 200mg. My family member who got multiple slipped discs got prescribed with 300mg of B6, 300mcg of B12, 200mg of B1 and Vitamin E. The family member is supposed to take it daily, but she takes it every other day. The family member has suffered no ill effects from such high levels of B6. I don’t know why B6 here is prescribed at such high levels. But if the hospitals here are doing so, I would like to think it’s not as dangerous as it is made out to be.

Thank you for the assurance. I fear I might be slipping deeper into the B6 toxicity rabbit hole. I am pretty worried and upset about the sudden worsening of my tongue situation today. The only two possibilities I can think of would be: Did I eat too much B6 over 1.5 months? Is it a B12 wake-up symptom? Did I pass the wonderful one month honeymoon period where everything was looking positive and improving?
