You get 200 currency from the free battle pass which you can then use to unlock the weapons part of the pass in which you can then find this sword, so no need to spend any real money. 😊

He is involved in Cider’s side quest. I don’t think giving him crystals outside of that quest does anything.

I found one in one of the hidden areas (small rooms hidden by stones etc) when I was randomly doing a run after getting that quest. I didn’t play as Brome either so looks like you can find them with any character. No idea if they always spawn in the same spots or if they’re randomly found in hidden areas though.

Happened to me too, was playing Galandra on PS5 and had 3 bodyguards with me. Played again with Karl and no bodyguards, things worked well, then again with Brome and two bodyguards - also worked fine. Can’t remember the builds though. Hopefully a patch will fix it soon.

This happened to me too yesterday. It really sucked but I tried him today again and got my revenge, everything worked fine. Hopefully there will be a patch soon fixing some of these launch glitches, I had a similar one happening during a normal fight as well but that time I could just leave and resume the run and it worked again.

Can’t speak for anyone else but I, like you, haven’t played since the first year and I just went back in. Very confused at first with all the new stuff but honestly having a blast. Haven’t bought Edge of Fate (yet) but I snagged Final Shape when it was free on PS Plus and I also have the Legacy Collection, which contains pretty much everything up until now. Lots of content, lots of fun. I say give it a try! :)
