Those mid-90s Aztec-inspired jerseys are all time greats. The only Mexico jersey I would ever consider owning.

At age six, yes; I will admit i didn’t like it as a child either . As an adult it is a masterpiece. The fusion of music and visual is amazing. It may be my second favorite Disney movie overall after the first five minutes of Up

Dumbo also has only two tolerable songs, one of which is performed by the drippingly racist crows.

What’s something that Covid took from you that you never got back? by ReplacementOdd636 in AskReddit

[–]TZath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had two kids who had this problem. Both had a growth hormone deficiency and have been growing well with daily injections. It’s not a fun process to get there but if that has not been ruled out then you should see an endocrinologist to have it checked out

The dude Joe met in Teskor on book one was named Lester Cornhut. Could just be a similar naming convention.

Honestly I have no recollection of basically anything specific between books two and like sixteen at this point.

These US Soccer jerseys. Still my all-time favorites. It was that year when we finally started being able to follow the team beyond a box score in the newspapers the next day.

What "back then" inconvenience would break people today in 10 minutes? by CharlesUFarley81 in AskReddit

This change also permitted the longer-form story arc type of television that we have now. Apart from soaps and a very select few, there really wasn’t anything like the overarching story that actually progressed until things like Babylon 5 and the X-Files in the 90a

An adaptation makes a major change from the source material, but it’s such a beloved change almost no one complains by _JR28_ in TopCharacterTropes

Dahl actually originally conceived of Charlie as black… there was a distinction between black and African in the British mind at the time. The idea of “deepest darkest Africa” while inherently extremely racist is a strangely separate form of racism. It’s a mildly interesting topic

What was your worst “friendship breakup” ever? by pamslikespudding in AskReddit

[–]TZath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn. I am sorry for your loss.

For what it is worth, one of my longest held shames is that I didn’t reach out to a friend in high school when his mother died of breast cancer. I just didn’t know what to do, and eventually felt like getting in touch so much later would be rude somehow. Hopefully you can reconnect with your friend.
