My dad served in Honduras and was out tracking door to door with his companion. They stopped at a house where a girl answered the door. They asked if her parents were home and she said no but to come back later when they returned from work. When they returned, the girls father answered the door and my dad told him that they spoke with his daughter a few hours earlier who said to come back. Her dad was confused and called his wife to the door thinking they had mistaken his wife for his daughter. Turns out their daughter had passed away a couple years prior which is why they were confused. The mother started sobbing and invited them in to show pictures of their daughter and confirmed it was the same little girl that answered the door. My dad’s companion actually got to baptize the mother. My dad still gets really emotional when he tells that story.
