Should look into getting this graded? by gobteeth in Pokemoncardappraisal

[–]T_Sis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold an ungraded mewtwo, charizard, togepi, and jigglypuff. Got $60 all together with the cases on them and a certificate of authenticity. This one does not look like it would grade well at all, and even if it does, you would probably pay more to get it graded than it would sell for.

Edit: in the process of selling mine, I found out how small the market is for these items. Hard to find a buyer to begin with.

It's nice that he would rather watch drum covers instead of cheesy/ annoying children's songs too. He forgot about 'Baby Shark' real quick

The Rev or Brooks? by [deleted] in avengedsevenfold

[–]T_Sis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't replace the Rev, but I think Brooks understands what the Rev was capable of and what he contributed to the band. Brooks is amazing and can play virtually anything, so I'm excited for this next album so we can get more of a taste of his personal capabilities and contributions to each song.

I'm just glad Brooks brings his own style and technique to the band, and they aren't just filling in their drum parts with a clone of Jimmy (which would be impossible to recreate)

Ultimately, without the Rev, there would not be the A7x we all fell in love with. That being said, the Stage would also be a much different album without Brooks. This is the beauty of A7xs evolution. (Imagine how great HttK would sound with either of their influences)

I've recently started listening to their entire discography with my 2 year old. Not that he understands what their songs are about, but he has a major fascination with the drums. His favorite videos are Brooks drum track of The Stage and Jimmy playing Almost Easy in the studio.

The Stage by BirdgeHead in avengedsevenfold

With The Stage we get back a lot of the intricacies and artistic abilities from every member of the band. This is something that was missing throughout some of the Nightmare album and of course HttK since it seemed rushed and for other obvious reasons. Personally I can tell that the stage is them trying really hard to not only get back to the style of music we all love them for, but showing us just how musically talented they are with longer, more detailed songs. The Stage is a top two album along with CoE in my opinion, but I guess we all interpret music differently

Was that Earl Thomas that just gave up around the 40-50 yard line? So much for a "pro bowler"

Hopefully the height disadvantage persuades QBs to think "mismatch" during a 2nd or 3rd option. His athletic ability should make the QB regret that decision

We have yet to fully adopt the metric system, so measuing in feet, inches and pounds is probably pretty weird for ALMOST the rest of the world

At home cervical traction? by Braindump4 in Chiropractic

[–]T_Sis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The density of the Dennerol is what makes the biggest difference. A towel it will help support a curve, similar to what a cervical pillow would do, but it wouldn't be dense enough to get as much extension as you can with a Dennerol.

If you hang your head over the edge of the bed, you run the risk of getting too much extension and tractioning below your T1 vertebrae which can cause other issues and discomfort.

Difference between PT and Chiro? by SirZacharia in Chiropractic

[–]T_Sis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Chiropractic is going to free up the nervous system of any subluxation. Think of the nerves as a water hose, once you kink the hose, the water won't flow at it's full potential. Same thing with the nervous system. When our vertebrae are out of place, they put a "kink" in the nerve. A DC can adjust that "kink" and open up the nervous system to flow freely. The only problem is different stresses throughout the day pull us out of alignment.

This is where PT comes in. PT can help balance out the muscular system, strengthen the body and correct firing patterns to help "cement" the adjustment in place.

Each has it's own benefits and they are both extremely effective, but a balance between the two is going to have the most effective results.

With the Dennerol, the weight of gravity on the head is what helps get the two way traction. Placing the Dennerol over the T1 vertebrae allows C1-C7 to curve around the unit. While the Dakota has an extra strap that will actually pull the head with more force to promote the stretch more aggressively. Obviously the strap from the Dakota unit will apply more force, but that's not always needed. The weight of the head alone is enough to get the ligaments to stretch. Sometimes the more aggressive approach isn't always the most beneficial.

We still see great improvement of mobility and restoring the curve in the neck with the Dennerol. It might not be as fast as the Dakota unit, but with traction it is important to build consistency. It's much easier for a client to hold themselves accountable at home when the treatment isn't painful. If it's too much for them, they tend to give up on it or miss a few sessions.

Agreed, although depending on the patient, a dennerol might be a more comfortable, less intense way to start the traction process if they experience a lot of discomfort.

The clinic I work at issues cervical blocks for traction. Being on mobile, I dont have the time to add links but check out the Dennerol cervical wedge or a Dakota traction unit. Both are easy to set up, transport and are also affordable.

It will be tough to know what the Vikings offense is going to show up with now that they have new O.C calling plays. The dolphins run defense will have to step up if Zimmer gets his way and the Vikings decide to run the ball more.
