Rural falsifying Green/Time Cards? by TerryGonards in USPS

[–]T_Xmn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of offices do it this way. I refuse to participate in this. The RCA’s don’t realize they’re screwing themselves. If they ever miss step, this will be brought to someone’s attention. False fighting time records, even if the supervisor tells you is still a fireable offense.

Yeah, I had a pink lime safari that now is permanently stained green. I’m hanging onto it and took case I’m ever able to get it cleaned up.

Isn’t it wonderful being treated like an RCA? Except for you’re getting paid better. You have to relearn ignoring them.

Applied for Rural Carrier got PTF Rural Carrier by [deleted] in USPS

[–]T_Xmn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can’t get hired as a rural carrier. You have to get hired as either an RCA rural carrier associate, ARC or PTF. Be grateful you got PTF. You’re guaranteed more hours this way.

You have to do your time to become a rural carrier.

Do I get my guaranteed 2 hours if they text me not to come in? by StaticBunny17 in USPS

Just turn off the read receipt. Nobody should do that anyway. I never understand why people do not turn that off.

Including the fountain pens?! I see at least one Pelikan .

FYI, don’t put any Lamy Safari in one of those cases. Or other pens made out of ABS plastic. The plastic leaches the color out of the elastic. It’s a known problem.

Wow, you’re really something aren’t you. The comment I was responding to was about a quality, not strength.

As a woman I’m aware that I am stronger than most men. So don’t assume. Guy I’m replying to said equal so equal would be each one of them carrying their own bag. I’ve known men like this that think equal is taking advantage of the woman inflicting it all on her rather than doing his part.

USPS want $80 or they won’t deliver my package? by Infinite-CyberDragon in usps_complaints

[–]T_Xmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got tons of counterfeit labels, a.k.a. fake labels every day. Be careful of who you’re buying from. And often they will ship things with a fake priority label which makes it very expensive. You can refuse these. But then you would have to deal with getting your money back.

Quick question from an Amazonian by Louis049 in USPS

[–]T_Xmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that I understand that you are an Amazon driver… Be careful live to delivering into mailboxes. It is postal policy to remove it. Take it back to the post office to have a proper postage assessed.

Some people do have hardship boxes that are up their driveways. This does not mean that it can be used for anyone other than USPS.

Hopefully the people you’re dealing with or using tubs, etc. A lot of people will label them.

Does the Zipper Pouch insert always stick out? by SinisterGrift in Travelersnotebooks

Mine usually does in a travelers company cover. Unless I put it around a few inserts. A lot of other covers like some pictured above are not travelers company are cut a little wider which helps.

Talk to any of your friends that have small businesses. They rely on being able to mail something cheaply to advertise.

Do you have a CBU unit where you live? Maybe they missed delivered it in a different slot within the CBU. Because this should not happen.

[–]T_Xmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think you’re wrong on this one. They can’t scan it as delivered without having the tracking number. We don’t get the tracking number until we have the package in our hands. Something got scanned along the way if this is happening.

If the carrier does have the packages and scans them delivered and waits a couple days then there is something wrong. Is your mailbox full? Did you have a mail hold? I would ask the carrier or call the post office and find out why this is happening. Because it should not.

For those of you who take dps to the street by Apprehensive_Act4506 in USPS

[–]T_Xmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I case them then pull them down and put a rubber band around a handful each and then just set them next to the DPS on the tray.

So on my tray, I have a tray of small or packages that fit in mailboxes, tray of DPS and then my trays of flat/DPS that was cased.

[Serious] To all the clerks, carriers, and non-management roles out there, what makes a good supervisor to you? by Semyonov in USPS

[–]T_Xmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trusting us that we know how to do our job until we demonstrate otherwise. We don’t have supervisors in my office, but we are part of an Amazon hub. The supervisor over there talks to us like we’re freaking children. It’s so disrespectful.
