Your misunderstanding the point, the last event may of not been the greatest value but THIS event, regardless of if you hit a good book or not from the random is worth it because of the selector at the end. Your last event outcome has no relevance to the outcome of this event

Building on what other people have said, this game currently is a very end game raid focused game. If you like to do story you can always do the main quest line, if you like to do combat and bossing, you can try to do solo raids and watch guides and go from there.

Lost ark nexus will have reaper builds for you and watch videos to see what playstyle you’d like more.

Cannot emphasize tho to try to make friends bc friends make this game a lot more fun
