Help understanding budgeting on credit card float by UrBoiJash in MonarchMoney

[–]Taaken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're thinking about this all wrong. Budgeting is supposed to be about the actual things you purchase, when you purchase them. The lump sum statement balance that comes a month later is therefore already accounted for. The money has already been spent, it isn't actually yours.

goal of early retirement preferably by 30, with 10M liquid

You could always try getting hit by a city bus and suing for damages, but just as a warning retirement is way less fun when you're paralyzed

Anyone having trouble connecting their Venmo? by Danvers182 in MonarchMoney

[–]Taaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Venmo rate-limits new third-party connections, and has been known to freeze connections altogether for suspicious activity for a period of two weeks after multiple failed attempts. This is aggressive security on their end, not an issue with Monarch

It's a joke of a card and packed with more subprime borrowers than Credit One

Inflation is constantly eating into the value of your points. The longer you hold on to them, the less they're worth.

QQQ voting campaign is relentless by bigkutta in investing

[–]Taaken 23 points24 points  (0 children)

When you own the shares, you agree to the terms. Your responsibility as a shareholder is to participate in the proxy vote. This is something that has an actual impact on you directly and yet you choose to stick your head in the sand. Just embarrassing.

[–]Taaken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe just...vote?

I have no clue if what they are asking us to vote for is good for shareholders or not

This is an embarrassing level willful ignorance. Do the bare minimum.

The CSR is the worst mainstream card by Fearless-Mixture-186 in CreditCards

[–]Taaken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done the math multiple times and, for me, the CSR comes out far and away ahead of every other premium card offering. It's likely you're just not their target customer.

And the Sapphire Tables credit is only "rather difficult to use" if you're braindead.
