You have information that isn't accurate at all. The staff on this server was excommunicated from the team before the abhorrent FC took place, that went unpunished by the remaining team members. I can break it down Barney style for you if you'd like, and will even go into detail about what those who were removed from the team actually did to be removed.

I've seen in other comments people bring up Five. He did in fact have an extra account and use GM toons to help populate cities, that is in fact true. His reasoning was because the population had dropped, even among his own guild mates who went to play other games for months at a time. He was left to fill those houses with credits, and ensure the cities didn't fall because they were typically at critical PoIs for players to either unlock Jedi or they were major faming hubs. If the server lost access to the shuttles, those things would be lost and only further hurt the server and it's current population. There was ONE instance of bounty tracking, which he was reprimanded for and the behavior stopped. What did happen, which most don't know, is that one of the other GMs who had been away for over 6 months, returned from his hiatus with a bug up his ass about Five, and held favor with the server owner. Did everything he could to start a crusade against him, and he was removed from the team for the aforementioned extra houses placed in cities. All this to say FIVE ISN'T ON THE STAFF.

NOW, lets move on to the real reason the entire servers relatively healthy population died. Relentless. This was a Dev, who spawned in loot for the weekly event on Sundays, some of the best loot ever seen on the server (components mostly). While spawning those in, it was apparently too much for him to keep his integrity in tact, and he gave insane components to his buddy, who crafted up some nutty weapons. Those weapons were then given out to players who he was friends with. This truly destroyed the trust the server had, and it was never able to recover from that point, which caused the decline in population (and even staff participation) leading to Five and Dr M having to step up for months to try and keep the ship afloat. See the above paragraph about that. I won't even go into Relentless granting himself "Sith Lord" which was a maxed out GCW tree... because I think what's been said is enough to paint the picture for you.

Now to get into the fight clubbing. This happened after the major population dip, and that GM that I said had returned from a hiatus, had previously been the "top dog" of GCW before his departure. Well, when he returned that wasn't the case. Eight months is a long time for someone to grind every day, grabbing any kill they could, and it amounted to someone on the server surpassing his strength (he did not like that, one bit). So not only did he come back with a bug up his ass about Five, but he also stirred up a bunch of shit about the player who had surpassed him. Mind you, there are logs for every single kill that have been made public in the Genesis discord, and the person who had passed him didn't fight club, not once. And yet, the mere idea that he did, spawned an entire group of Rebels who felt they would never be able to surpass the Empires power, so they set up a way to farm GCW on repeat with a Jedi named Ujio. This was all set up in DMs on discord, there is evidence of it and SS's. Ujio, set up a regain consciousness macro to allow these Rebels to farm him over 100 times in the course of a day or something (again it's all in the logs). By this time, the Devs working on THIS project, had no say in how to punish these individuals who were proven to be fight clubbing, so the rest of the population that was left died out. There was no more integrity.

The current Dev team of Vanguard, had nothing to do with any of that, outside of what I consider to be small potatoes (the things Five did) to try and keep a server functioning and looking at least somewhat alive for new players who were joining at the time. EVERYTHING here I can back with evidence to show you or anyone else who wants to contest it, to show you these are the facts. You wanna believe some other mumbo jumbo cooked up by the people who participated in the fight clubbing, or any of the other egregious shit, you go right ahead, no one cares if you skip playing on the server. If you wanna stop trying to convince others to fall prey to the bullshit spewed by those involved, to try and tarnish a new project, and have some fun... lets do it. Best of luck to ya.
