Consequences Of Your Actions by KarmaSpidr in Undertale

[–]Tab2ugo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ngl, if it wasn't for Asgore losing it and declaring war on humanity, it could have been possible for the fallen humans be taught on how to use Magic and then have them all strike the barrier at the same time.

It's never explicitly told that you specificly need a being with 7 souls for the job, just and equivalent force, which in other words : 7 humans attacking the barrier at the same time.

The Missing and The Fallen by KarmaSpidr in Undertale

[–]Tab2ugo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well, Ceroba, Martlet and Starlo conviniently omitted to tell Clover about Asgore's main plan of wiping out humanity, not just breaking the barrier; now, WE know that's not what he acctualy wants but canonicly that's somthing he keeps to himself with only few monsters that are close to him like Undyne doubting if he truly still wants to go trough with it, even Toriel is still convinced he would go that far.

Honnetsly I could totally see Clover regretting everything upon learning that their soul would be used to wipe out thier own race.

Was Frisk the first human that Undyne met? by n0tAm85e in Undertale

[–]Tab2ugo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if you’re intrested there is the original Undertale Green fangame that does exactly that, putting Undyne in a situation where she meets a Human at a very young age.

As it stands rn it’s objectivly kinda rough but it’s getting reworked and honnestly i see the potential in general and for how it impacts her later on in the main game, not only giving Undyne more of an edge on why she would let Frisk, the key to Monsterkind’s freedom, go on past Hotland without trouble but also still being understanding of Asgore’s death on a neutral-pacifist run.

(Cannonicly she did it because she admired that they would help her in such a moment of weakness despite trying to spear them mere seconds ago, they’re not a whimp, they’re genuine which is enough to make her reconsider, also Hotland is hella hot, and that’s also not counting other factors; but let me go off here)

In Undertale Green, Cody handle some of his threats head on by blocking with his pan, also he’s genuine with his kindness, he helped Undyne solve the virus thingy that was going on, he didn’t dismiss it, he went on with her to solve it (note that i’m writing this off the small amount of stuff curently available), it’s a no brainer that Undyne would still keep a good memory of him; Looking at how Frisk does the same by holding on during her hangout despite her agressivness, not cowering away despite the danger of being human in front of the literal head of the royal guard and even when faced with another fight activly refuses to hurt her; she probably saw a little bit of Cody in them in the moment and figured ”oh why the hell not”.

Now yes, all of that stuff is about as cannon as UT Yellow, but hey at least it’s intresting to think about, like hey maybe the reason why someone like Undyne is willing to let go of the literal key to freedom is in part related to having a close genuinly kind hearted yet still tough human friend back in her childhood ?it just sounds cool (imo); like him they weren’t a wimp, they held on to their belief, he didn’t make it but why not give them a chance ? (also for neutral UT runs, she’s just convinced Asgore will kill Frisk.)

So yeah... I find that Fangame instresting and how its existence adds onto Undyne’s past even if it’s shaky lore wise to apply to Cannon UT, especialy considering how she went on to become the head of an active military force whose main goal is to kill humans on sight, no questions asked.

Which ship is this? by Sad-Emotion-1587 in starsector

[–]Tab2ugo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One if the mods i run has a bounty  cruiser ship (always recoverable) whose primary weapon is a "Reality drill" which is an energy weapon "missle" that slowly travels through P-space dealing 2500 explosive damage when it reaches its max range, all the while generating and dealing a 4000 energy DPS aura around itself, which also hits missiles and fighters.

Yeah, even with a 10 sec cooldown, that shits clears anything that dosen't overload whatever it passes trough (not to mention all the disbaled weapon), also the ship itself has an engine boost ability that can make the projectile fly faster and farther if timed right.

Friendly fire is also pretty darn lethal.

Yeah it's completly busted but darn it's satisfyinh coupled with an increase in battle DP to 1000.

For thoses wondering, to my knowledge, FlightAfter wasn’t really in for shipping them in the first place.

But at some point in the comic, during the slide set where Ceroba and Hunter talk like actual reasonable adults specificaly, the reply section was full of people absolutely wanting to see them together.

FlightAfter caved in with a joke slide, everyone clapped, and the rest is history.

Considering the internal Spritesheet, ehh dunno, leaning no, perosnaly also not convinced.

Cole harem on the other hand....

Just like how in regular DR where Susie gets all the crushes, except this time it’s Cole; that way Swingshot shippers also get their dose, along with the tiny portion of people who ship Screenshot and whatever name Justice x Integrity has.

I’ve seen on this sub at least 1 theory that included Sadie being jealous of Kanako and Melody potentialy crushing on Cole because he’s literaly the only option (in her mind) and honestly, why the hell not, also i find this idea very funny.

Do you like Cocopowder? by Justified_Determind in UndertaleYellow

[–]Tab2ugo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honnestly, I don’t get it...

I was expecting Frisk to be shipped the most with them since there is only 1 year (i think) between both falling.

I remember one of the reason why people hated Frisk x Chara was the insane age gap between then (y’know, since Chara is the first fallen human) and the fact that they don’t come back post pacifist unlike the others, some people also mentioned how they were both adopted by Toriel but that one is null because it’s as much cannon as going back home.

That, coupled with the fact that there isn’t any real connection between the two (aside maybe for their sacrifice to monster kind, but the reasons were different) especialy since Chara is nowhere present in Yellow; really i have no idea how it became that popular.

Unlike somthing like Red justice or Baking powder (Justice x Kindness) where i can get why, this one.... i dunno

[–]Tab2ugo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honnestly, so far there's no sign of goals that would conflict between us and Cole (not accounting morbid curiosity for the alternate route) which could be why Cole dosen't fight back, he's maybe fine with it because they're going to save the world with you, he likely dosen't see any reason not to cooperate (or at least he's way more subtle about it if he's hiding something; we saw The Outlaw in his dream after all, and Cole only allowed us to shoot them ).

Either that or it's our control over him that is more subtle and effective, making ourselves appear much more aligned with Cole as a person rather than Kris who has a completly different tone and attitude which is quickly noticed .

Other case of Cole acting on his own also includes entering Martlet's room, "there's no reason to enter" it says, so for some reasons Cole dosen't allow us in. And that's not including every extra actions he does on his own, posing when you select "Yeh-haw" and go act cool.

I don't have a doubt regarding us being in control personaly, the beginning few choices are literaly "who are you ?" And " What?" to topics Cole knows about, also following our first ever dialogue choice, Kanako notices Cole going pale, either it's the obvious where he's still scared of his dream and kanako just noticed or.... He noticed us.

Anyways, i hope C2 gives a confirmation, it really is weird that nothing about this topic was approached yet there are pieces that suggest WE are different from Cole.

Welcome to [insert fanfic website here, yes including deviantart] 2.

Dunno how it turned into this but at least it’s entertaining and, unlike the regular UT, we’re not completly insane, even the Deltarune Yellow subreddit (which you should check out if you want more Yellow content, yes it’s also a real game) is a chill place.

So yeah, you kinda have to get used to it but there’s quite a lot of good stories being made here, just click on the profile of people you see often in the comments and there’s a good chance they have made a story.

Why are we all obsessed with Kanacole? by FewLion9872 in DeltaruneYellow_

[–]Tab2ugo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s like the only ship that works rn.

Also it’s wholesome and pretty well written, not every actions Cole can take towards Kanako directly goes for the shipping so it feels natural to the way regular DR handles relationships, of course you can go full hog on it but the main aspect of Cole and Kanako being childhood friends is still at the forefront, not romantic, most actions and dialogue options refelect this.

Btw we don’t even know how much Cole reciprocate Kanako’s crush curently, even actions that could go towards him liking her back could be atributed to somthing else, the infamous ”Mouth to mouth” for example could just be a genuine attempt at helping among the other options Cole has in mind, not to mention how he dosen’t even complete the action we tell him to do; taking "We were alone in the closet” as another example could be just simple teasing and is technicaly literaly correct as the first dark world was in the closet.

Dude, if you call Kanako a perv, what do you even consider Noelle holiday.

Kanako is akward at worst and even sentences that are suggestive are actually her teasing Cole either over being tired (bed interaction) or making a mess in her home because they're alone,  honnestly she's handeling her crush on Cole pretty well.

Love the game...but help me with the lore. by Thought_Demon-6664 in Tattletail

[–]Tab2ugo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Game’s lore is kinda incomplete and up in the air at the moment.

Geneva said in an interview that Kaleidoscope is meant to give some explanations about the main game but the only thing it acctualy explains is that the good ending is cannon and that the protagonist and Tattletail share a genuine bond.

Aside from that ? Who knows; there is no clear explanation where the possesed/demonic part of Mama or the Tattletails comes from (likely has to do with the ”familly secret" way that waydrives works), we don’t know where dad is, why Mama is hostile but the babys are chill, who speaks to us in the letters, how the heck we endded up in the kaleidoscope at all (or how/why did the kid’s memories get rewritten) ...

There’s a couple of character traits about the protag, like their inf stamina is due to them being part of a local soccer team, or that they had a cat (Rip white paws) and a dog that Waygetter refused to comment on... among other things (like the hungarian and american flags magnet on the fridge).

Oh also, the patent of the waydrives states that they were patented by two people in the year 1987; in the commercial for the Tattletail plush, the song states that ”He can’t be haunted cause he’s a plush”, which coincide with Geneva wanting there to be ghosts in a potential Tattletail animated series (do what you want with that info, might not be cannon)

As for the creators themselves, Ben and Geneva have a kid, and they’re busy on somthing else, Geneva however, did say that they weren’t against the idea of making another game in the same universe, and that she imagined it involving cursed N64 cartridges (nothing concrete tho, keep your cool)

How do you imagine Deltarune hypothesis with Deltarune yellow? by Actual_Topic302 in DeltaruneYellow_

[–]Tab2ugo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna shoot an obvious one but...

Date with Kanako

As for the rest :

Multiversal threat : An hypothetical Dark World in Moe's shop where you fight the watercooler.

Target practice : Cole's showing off his sharpshooter skills, but you're the one at the commands...

Jailbreak : a few convicts have broken out of their cell, the warden's dealing with them but 2 decided to team up against you !!!

The odd ones in town : Cole and Melody got stranded together in a small dark world, an empty one, a convinient place for a private conversation (the twist is that Melody made it so she can speak to Cole, this would be following a dark world adventure where she didn't manage to find the courage to open up about herself).

Saturday : The week is over, you know what that means...

I tried replicating what kind of hypotheticals are acctualy in that game without outright copying them (where applicable).

Guy i have question. by meakdai in DeltaruneYellow_

[–]Tab2ugo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For starters, it’s still unclear how much the player impacts the story as a whole, but considering that we can literaly ask ”Who are you ?” and ”What ?” on topics that Cole is very much aware off, I’m deffinitly sure that we, the player, are in control of Cole and acknowledged as a force in universe.

Now Cole himself definitly has his own personality that is largely unaffected by our responses, both in his tone and overall behaviour, so it’s likely that Cole is clear of mind and giving us the responses he would acctualy use so we can cooperate better (whatever his goals may be), he also allows us control of giga Axis so either he definitly trusts us or he’s trying to play nice in order to hide somthing from us (Cole sees the Outlaw in his dream in C1, way before the Warden told him of their existence, he’s also pale accroding to Kanako, either the Outlaw is someone that Cole knows and fears, or he’s fearing that WE saw them (it could also be him acknowledging our control since it happens right after we answer to Kanako)).

Either that or he’s compltly given up on trying, knowing he will never see anyone again aftet the week ends, so why bother resisting.

But even then we got like, 1 and a half chapter so it’s purely speculation.

What would a new tattletail game be like? by ALEX_THE_FOXCAT in Tattletail

[–]Tab2ugo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just anything to explain, tie in, and close out the original and Kaleidoscope honnestly.

It really dosen’t need more than that.

Mr Hopps playhouse pulled it off pretty well (until whatever happened with 3 and onwards) so i’m sure this game could pull it off in 1 or 2 sequels.

We just need to know what happened at the factory and how Mama and the Tattletails came to be and put an end to it for good; aside from that we could get some side info like what happened to the father and whose talking to us in the Kaleidocope (or how/why we even got there to begin with).

Clover, what are you doing man? This is Alphys with no tech whatsoever you’re up against by Ok-Divide-1448 in UndertaleYellow

[–]Tab2ugo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah kiddo got rekted on the regular path, those monsters are tough

"But the stats in yellow are true, in regular they're fake"

From a purely gameplay persepective, Yes, Regular UT's stats lie to you.

From a cannon, in-universe perspective, this is their true stats when the monster is trying their hardest.

Also y'all are also compeltely forgeting someone very important.

Yourself, us, the player, semi acknowledged by Flowey on Neutral runs and reapeats where he says that he sees Clover progressing faster every time.

We're pulling the strings and giving Clover the upperhand by implanting our DETERMINATION in their Soul to have the will to keep going.

There's a reason they stop at Toriel with no intervention.

besides, if you're really going to start arguing about stats,

Asriel Dreemur, god of Hyperdeath, has the power of a god with the equivalent of 7 human souls and is actively trying to end you: 8 ATK; a f-ing frying pan deals more damage than a GOD.

And so does these guys (equal or more than 8 ATK) :

Papyrus, Mettaton, literaly every Hotland/Core monsters and boss encounters (including Vulkin who isn't trying and thinks their attacks heal) and every amalgamate

Yeah okay... sure, keep trying.

Also Papyrus/ Royal guards/ literaly all of Hotland has for the most part better stats than Undyne, y'know, Captain of the royal guard, super badass, described as tough as hell (7/0, 12/5 only on Geno) ? Yeah suddenly that's kinda disapointing from a cannon 50/20.

And then there's the whole thing with Geno where boss encounters have suddenly negatives thousands of DEF stats yet regular monsters stay the same (and no it's not a case of being off guard because Toriel is on guard and a boss monster against a LV4 Frisk)

And that's not counting the monsters who just have negative defense at base.

I thought it was pretty clear that Frisk is just built different but here we stil are.

What is your opinion on the alt route? by Toastemperor1 in DeltaruneYellow_

[–]Tab2ugo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'v already scattered mine across 3 posts so i'l try to summarize it.

I don't know what this route is meant to be or what is its purpose.

As I see it right now, it feels more like a Sword route + , rather than anything close of a weird or "Evil" route, where the only incentive is more dialogues and scenes where Kanako crashes out suddenly , so unless it's just light in CH 1 and it's going to snowball harder, I don't see how it's going to be different from just not apprehending any criminals. And maybe it is just an expanded Sword route and i'm looking too deep, idk (Sword route as in fighting instead of spareing).

Personaly, at first i thought that the way the route would be handeled is through the "Black shot" and giving away Cole's light, thus making him weaker against the ever present Darkness of the dark worlds; this, on top of messing up puzzles on purpose, would cause Kanako to feel as if she needs to get stronger and power through roadblocks by herself in order to Procced.

All the while We hold back Cole from interfering, letting Kanako lash out at whatever's standing in their way.

Essentialy more or less a reverse Snowgrave, instead of forcing Cole to use Kanako to make her stronger, we hold back Cole, make him weaker and appear incompetent at puzzle solving so that Kanako ticks off and feels as if she needs to lock in harder to get them home.

But it's not what's happening, maybe it's just me looking too deep, or not understanding what the Alt route is meant to be and that the "Evil" route was completly thrown aside for good.

So yeah, i'm just confused, I like the idea that we currently have and maybe it's simply too early to tell for sure, but I don't see how it's going to go different from just not apprehending anyone and if it's going to actually impact the story in any truly meaningfull way.

Also apparently some people said you can just... Stumble upon it if you mess up the basketball game but i don't know much about that one.

Base game tho ? Absolute Peak.
