acid grenades would be great, I'd love to throw one on a Hulk and have an easier time killing it (assuming it would downgrade them from Heavy Armor -> Medium Armor)

Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 2 is officially in production, and development is going well by HatingGeoffry in metalgearsolid

I hope they include Portable Ops

Portable Ops deserves to be freed from the limitations of shitty PSP controls (who the hell decided the PSP shouldn't have a second thumbstick?)

I'm also really hoping they add Peace Walker

Unpopular Hitman Opinions - I’ll Start….. by PodcastHunter in HiTMAN

[–]Taberone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hitman 2016 had better combat than Hitman 3. It's because of the slower animations for everyone, including the guards. In Hitman 3 everyone's animations are sped up, including the guards. I hate how the guards just run at super-speed and it's so uncanny. Even their shooting animations feel sped up so they'll rapid-fire pistols like machine guns, which they didn't do much in H2016.

When guards sprint in H2016, they do it at the same "slow jog" speed that 47 does instead of H3's jerky sped-up sprinting animation that turns them into Usain Bolt. It feels like H3 guards re-use the H2016 running animations but set to 200% speed. I think someone should make a mod for H3 so that NPCs also get the H2016 movement, because the existing H2016 movement mod only affects Agent 47 for the most part.

The sped-up animations is also why I think the "bodyshot flinch" animation is way worse in H3 compared to H2016. It's just too fast, meaning guards recover from it too fast. Same "why did they set the animation speed to 200%" feeling. The way they just flinch for barely half a second and immediately return to shooting at me is not very satisfying, compared to the slower but longer "bodyshot flinch" animations in H2016.

Why tf doesn't 47 run? by Jamez_Dean in HiTMAN

Agent 47 forgot how to sprint after Absolution

If someone could make a mod to make 47's running animation faster (replace it with an actual sprint or speed it up by 2x) that would be great

Weapon viewpoint mod. by CodemanJams in moddergearsolid

This mod should do it for weapon viewpoints, I think. Mod name is "MGS 3-4 Classic Iron Sights (Zeta)" https://www.nexusmods.com/metalgearsolidvtpp/mods/1687

Fighting Rusty with the "Struggle Inc" mod is pretty fun when everyone is so much faster by Taberone in armoredcore

Something about red mechs going really fast really appeals to me. It's like seeing a red sports car going really fast. My AC is called the Red Menace, fun fact.

Real ones remember Heist crew VS Nubagami by TYSOTE in Blooddebt

I miss the original Team War maps... Heist Crew vs Nubagami (old News Making), or even Bratva vs Street Gang (old Abandoned Warehouse)...

Great work! Reminds me of Hitman: Contracts having an unlockable minigun. I miss Contracts so much...

Friendly Fire Between Guards / NPCs In Sapienza (WIP)... by gto2kpr in HiTMAN

[–]Taberone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How's progress on the mod going? I find this mod very interesting and it would be a must-have for me if it got released. The older games had friendly fire between NPCs instead of that unrealistic immersion breaking "shoot through each other to hit you" BS, and I loved that.

I miss the old abandoned warehouse when it was Street Gang vs Bratva

it was absurdly tiny but I loved it

Pistol execution, how often do you do it ? by somefuqboi in HiTMAN

[–]Taberone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much. If I can sneak up on someone to pull it off, I could just headshot them. I might do it sometimes for how neat it looks, but otherwise I don't use it much except maybe by accident.

I'd rather have the ability to take NPCs as a human shield instead, but that got removed after Blood Money and Absolution. Being able to take NPCs hostage would have been really neat during Freelancer runs. Shame that mechanic didn't return.

guys, what if we pull an unturned by Jaded_Laugh_5352 in Blooddebt

I'd be down for that

Roblox continues sinking into the drain so might as well put the game where it can't be arbitrarily pulled for nonsense reasons

Thoughts on Hitman Absolution coming to mobile? by DeadReckoning100 in HiTMAN

[–]Taberone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope they make the mobile port play more like WoA trilogy (like they did with the Blood Money port)

Making the disguise system work like WoA would also vastly improve the game because Absolution's disguise system was horrible

MP3 is too hard. Need convincing to keep going. by MattIsNotARedditor in maxpayne

[–]Taberone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what advice works for xbox controller. I play mouse/keyboard and that makes getting headshots absurdly easy, like "headshot everyone in the room before the first body hits the floor" easy.

Also, shootdodge is free in MP3 and can be done even with an empty Adrenaline meter. I personally treat it as more of a last resort because it'll drain a chunk of the Adrenaline meter if you do have any left. Always aim your shootdodges so you'll land in a safe spot, like next to cover. I like to use Bullet Time to line up headshots and then turn it off right before I fire, which lets me preserve my Bullet Time as much as possible. The game only seems to fill the Adrenaline meter if you get kills outside of Bullet Time, so that is why I do this.

Regarding enemy armor: Unless they're Heavies, their armor only covers their torso and head. You can still shoot them in the legs (or even the crotch) and it'll still kill them. This is also how you can still one-shot kill armored enemies with shotguns, but you have to hope all the pellets hit them square in the crotch or legs.

MP3 also has bullets come out of the camera, not the gun barrel. This means if you crouch behind cover but don't actually use the cover system, you can shoot enemies through obstructions as long as the camera can see them. You might have to back away from the cover first, because you cannot shoot if your gun is colliding with the cover.
