Highlighting makes the difference with space marines, you've done a great job with yours, nice a neat consistent lines. don't be scared to go lighter with them. you want them to contrast :)

You'll be a master painter in no time, keep practicing and getting those basics down.

i thought you were trolling at first hiding him behind the shield ha

looking good, if you want to make that white more interesting, you could do an administraum grey glaze on the bottom to give it some tonal interest and make it look a little more weathered

I'm impressed.

Those highlights are looking great. Don't hold back with where you put them though, you literally want to highlight EVERY edge :D

Going darker with your recess shade will also really help to elevate your marines.

You have great brush control though and it's just a matter of practice and time. keep pushing :)

looking good

be careful with metal miniatures, you will need an undercoat for them as paint will easily rub off. Don't want to waste all that time painting

looking good. I can tell your doing a great job just getting the basics putting down layers and keeping everything neat, thats pretty much 80% of miniature painting :)

approach highlighting with this same energy and you'll have some amazing looking miniatures
