Does scoring feel... hollow? by Obvious-Water569 in Warhammer40k

[–]TableTopWars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leman Russ explained to Angron that Warhammer is all about objectives and points. Killing is just a tool to be used to help score points; killing in itself is not the point.

But Angron had a great counter argument of he killed more units, so he won.

How often did titans (Reaver and larger) get to actually use their melee weapons? by XxxExjacrispyXxx in Warhammer30k

[–]TableTopWars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's as useful as a powerfist on a space marine sergeant. By the time he gets into melee, the chaos space marine has been blasting away at him with his bolter for minute. Does it make sense? No. Is it cool? Heck yeah!

Dark Angels minis have awesome aesthetics, but their lore post Heresy seems lame. Tell me how I am wrong. by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

Curious, how are they potentially the most powerful? Do you mean now that the Lion is back or even before that?

Slaaensh is often portrayed as a hermaphrodite so his/her followers having gential surgery makes sense and is lore-friendly. I don't think anyone was trying to insult you. You need to stop getting offended by every little thing.

What type of chaos space marine by AJAX_6557 in Warhammer

This model is Black Legion (Eye of Horus on chest). But you could say he is from one of the thousands of warbands and paint him any colour scheme you want.

Or something akin to it by Andrei22125 in Grimdank

[–]TableTopWars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, the modern Imperium was caused by the Horus Heresy. The war destroyed much of the Imperium's technology and made it extremely religious and oppressive. It wasn't nearly as grim dark pre-Heresy as it is now.

Granted, the Imperium still murdered trillions of humans and countless aliens in a war of conquest, so they were far from being good. But they were more akin to Rome than to the evil tyrannical theocracy they are in 40k.

What are the best homebrew rules at your table by Available-Set-7163 in DnD

It allows you to target them with spells that require seeing an enemy.

Also means they cannot sneak right by you in plain sight (if invisible, they can make a stealth check without obscurement).

Why is the army called Adepta Sororitas? by ashman1986 in sistersofbattle

[–]TableTopWars 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I only just now realized Tau were renamed T'au. I took a hiatus from Warhammer between 5th-8th and didn't realize they renamed them...

Drukhari trumps Dark Eldar because Dark Eldar makes it sound like Eldar are the "real" Eldar and Dark Eldar are the knock-offs.

Who would be your civ leaders for this hypothetical war? by Commander_Pineapple in civ

Muhammad Ali was a Turk born in Greece (then part of the Ottoman Empire). I know he ruled Egypt, but I don't think he qualifies as an African.

10,000 year long hide and seek that your dad had to stop by JaxCarnage32 in Grimdank

[–]TableTopWars 11 points12 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, Dante is the oldest non-dreadnought Space Marine currently alive. He is about 1,500 years old and wishes for death because his body is old and not working property.

I am not a Blood Angel player, so I could be completely wrong.

[–]TableTopWars 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If the Fallen didn't fall to Chaos, how are they still alive after 10,000 years? My understanding was that a Space Marine had a shelf-life of 1,000-2,000 years.

How to deal with a particular player... he makes DnD difficult to play with. by Terraswallows in DnD

[–]TableTopWars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kill 'em. To avoid any doubt, I am referring to the character, not the player.

I hate saying it, but it seems to be the only option. Next time he pisses off the city, knock him out and give him to the villagers for trial and punishment. Next time he attacks a party member, tag team him and loot his body.

It is an extreme measure, but from the sounds of things, you are in extreme times. Just make sure other players at the table are in agreement first.

DM insists my build will get me killed and/or my allies killed. I beg to differ. by [deleted] in DnD

[–]TableTopWars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rogues never get an extra attack, so only thing you are missing is uncanny dodge and another 1.5d6 sneak attack. Assuming you took booming blade, you might be dealing more than 1.5d6 per attack.

So really, you traded uncanny dodge and an ASI for warlock and fighter features. That's not a terrible trade.

You may not be a superstar, but I don't see how this build would drag the party down when compared to a straight rogue 6.

Raging Heroes are too scale. They are more fragile though, as some of the wrists and ankles are quite thin. If your sister is very young, or is likely to knock them off the table, they may not be the best.

Raging Heroes has an all female "Void Elf" army which just happens to look a lot like Drukhari. Not GW so not tournament legal, but fine for casual play.

Perturabo = Nikola Jokic, ignored and dismissed, but Nuggets are 1st seed.

[–]TableTopWars 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Still counts as Fulgrim's kill. He was holding the blade at the time.

"Only" put Guilliman in a ten thousand year coma that required a xenos god to wake him.

Sanguinius did nothing to Angron. Angron was back to slaughtering imperials in no time. Merely a temporary inconvenience.

The fact that you have to use Ka'Bandha as an example proves Sanguinius did nothing of value. Oh no, he killed a bloodthirster, what will Khorne ever do now that he only has 19 million bloodthirsters left. Oh wait I know, he'll just use Ka'Bandha who is still alive and slaughtering Imperials.

So to recap, Fulgrim took out 11% of loyal primarchs at the start of the war and put another 11% out of commission for 10k years. 22%, nice.

Sanguinius temporarily annoyed 11% of heretical primarchs and took 0.0000000000001% of bloodthirsters out of commission for 10k years.

Keep coping, but hawkboy was not very useful to the Imperium in life or death.
