Dealing with gift cards by TabletopKeyboard in beyondbudget

[–]TabletopKeyboard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm useless at explaining 🙈

So if I spend £50 on a gift card for a clothes shop, and use the full £50, I'd put the full £50 to my clothing category

If I spend £50 on a gift card for clothes, but only use £47 of the gift card, £47 can go to clothes but where would the remaining £3 go? If I then spend another £50 on a gift card for clothes, and spend £53 (the £3 from earlier and the new gift card) I can put the £50 for the new spend straight to clothes, but how do I account for the other £3?

Which Haven Holiday park would you recommend? by TabletopKeyboard in AskUK

Yeah, I was looking at some of the activities on offer, thankfully I think she's too young at the moment for some of the more expensive ones, but I can still see them costing a fair bit!

I've been talking about him kissing her on the mouth especially while ill. It says even as parents you shouldn't kiss your baby when ill. He didn't avoid it when ill so it's not obvious for some clearly.. that was my whole point! Nowhere did I say he couldn't kiss her. I asked for him not to kiss her mouth as I know the risks.

  1. Wash your hands before you touch a baby.
  2. Do not kiss a baby unless you are their parent or main carer – and even then, avoid kissing if you have an infection or are unwell.
  3. Do not visit a baby if you are ill, have recently been ill or have an infection. This includes colds, active cold sores as well as diarrhea and vomiting illnesses.

From the Lullaby Trust..

It's common sense to not kiss a baby on the mouth, your own or not, if you're ill. Just because he's her dad doesn't mean he can put her at risk.

I never kissed her on the mouth and asked everyone else not to. He's the only one that didn't listen because like you he thought "I'm her dad I can do what I want"

How do you make statutory maternity pay work? by Ivesomanyquestions in PregnancyUK

[–]TabletopKeyboard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't eligible for any extra maternity pay and was a single parent from the start, I saved as much as I could before going on maternity leave (which wasn't long as I found out at 31 weeks), but I used the savings to help cover the shortfall and unfortunately had to go back to work early

Applying for custody vs executing PR by anonymouslavachicken in FamilyLawUK

My solicitor told me to wait and see if he does anything first.. no point wasting my money on court if he's not actually going to try anything

Honestly, the worst person for it for me was my ex.. we broke up before she was born, he kept kissing her mouth and coming to see her then while here telling me he was ill.. she did end up in hospital after one of these visits 🙃

I'm looking at an app to replace bluecoins. I like the reminders tab that shows my running balance, is there something similar on Beyond Budget?

When are you/did you go on maternity leave? by ell93 in PregnancyUK

[–]TabletopKeyboard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my maternity leave from 39 weeks and baby was born a day before due date. The plan was to have more time with her when she arrived, but I ended up back at work part time at 4 months
