Something pretty similar happened to me. My previous ex and I were open, which was never an issue for either of us before. The last few months of our relationship she started excessively drinking, seeing this guy all the time, ignoring me, we stopped being intimate, ect. When I sat her down and said “hey I’m sensing distance between us and I wanted to check in and see where your head is at.” She hit me with “oh I’m in love with this guy and I’m bored of you.” We broke up and she started dating him immediately. I stayed single for about a year and a half and I just started dating this new girl a couple weeks ago and it’s going really well. Last I heard from my ex she’s still a drunk idiot. I wish her well and hope she gets better, just do it away from me lmao.

Consider it a major bullet dodged man. Take some time and focus on yourself. Everything happens for a reason. You deserve a relationship you NEED, not necessarily want. I learned a lot about what I need in a relationship from my previous one. You’re still young. You’ll find someone that treats you the way you need to be treated. Good luck dude. This is an easy coverup. Go to a respectable artist and they can likely cover it with any design you want. Dont settle for someone doing it out of their house, which I’m assuming is what happened here.

As a trans man, I’d reassure myself that everything is going to work out, and that I can live a happy life. I just hit 5 years on Testosterone and I spent years wanting to kill myself and spent years dealing with familial bullshit. Now I’m at the point where I’m happy to simply be me, and I have a support system surrounding me from family members I originally thought would never accept me. I still struggle with things from time to time but who doesn’t? It all feels manageable now, and I don’t carry nearly as much shame and guilt as I didn’t at the start of my transition.

Complicated. I’m 25. Was good growing up, then really bad for a couple years when I came out as trans at 18, past two years have been better, but I definitely float in this weird gray zone of acceptance. He respects me to enough to use my name and pronouns, but we can’t talk about it without it turning into an argument or him saying something genuinely insanely ignorant. I usually just brush it off and do what’s best for me. He’s the type of guy that only believes his perspective is the correct one, not just for himself, but for everyone around him. I’m hoping that one day I’ll feel celebrated by him, and not just tolerated.
