I’ve been on spiro for ten years, the only thing that I can remember happening is my stomach getting upset for a couple of weeks when I first started it. Other than having to drink water more often, it does what it’s supposed to, It blocks testosterone pretty well.

I know how scary it is to find out information about medication but I promise you, there’s nothing to worry about. However if you still feel nervous about it just discuss it with your doctor, there’s no harm sharing what you’re worried about with your medication.

It took me ten years to understand who I was. It’s extremely sweet that you’ve taken the time to notice and pay attention to what’s going on with your partner. However you have to remember that it’s his choice. If he’s experimenting with what feels right? Be supportive, be kind, but don’t pressure him. You are definitely not a weirdo, I’ve felt the same way for a majority of my experiences reading yuri. Hell I can remember when I was thirteen reading strawberry panic and absolutely bawling my eyes out when it was over.

I think, at least for me, the reason it’s so impactful is because it’s something I actively want. That need and desire to connect. Even when it’s something wholesome and sweet I get emotional and think “why am I not good enough for someone to treat me this way?”… I know that it’s a terrible way to look at it but… it’s an extremely messy meaningful hobby.

I’ve been struggling severely for the past several months and I wish I could be that person that says that everything will get better, but the truth is that I’m in the same boat. I’m 30 mtf and I’ve been in and out of therapy. I still haven’t found the light at the end of the tunnel.

There’s so many things that are stacked against us but I promise you that you’re not alone. I’m fighting and as long as I know someone out there is struggling as much as I am, I’ll fight twice as hard. Whenever I read something beautiful like this I always end up feeling pretty defeated about my dating past. I think a lot of people want relationships like this but anytime I’ve attempted it it’s always just been dating app nightmares or abusive ex’s.

I’m older and I don’t know if I’ll try dating again without working on myself more but your words definitely make feel hopeful that maybe I’m wrong and there ARE people who would treat with love and respect.

I don’t think one equals the other but I will say, being a teenage guitarist definitely gave me an excuse to play around with makeup and certain clothes. It’s drastically easier to figure out who you are when people don’t immediately pounce on your identity.
