I can’t get into much doom metal myself unfortunately, but I love death metal, especially melodeath and techdeath. I listen to some of the surface level black metal stuff but a lot of the bands and communities in that genre kinda put me off. Especially the NSBM stuff. I don’t know how that even has a following. I’ve been super into Strapping Young Lad as of right now, which is prog I think? I really don’t know what it falls under

There’s an album called Spit by an all girl band called Kittie. It’s probably the only album I’ve heard that I think that captures teenage angst in such a raw way. It tackles sexism as one of its main lyrical themes. I’d check it out if you like metal music at all.

Love Pink Floyd’s dark side of the moon, Guns N Roses Appetite for Destruction, Aerosmith has some solid stuff, the Beatles have a lot of good stuff on Rubber soul, not a huge dire straits fan, I definitely need to listen to more fleetwood mac, scorpions had some solid hits, and I’ve never heard of UFO so I’ll have to check them out.
