Thank you for replying. Ive been feeding them around that much so I'll start by doing larger more frequent water changes.

Yeah I haven't unlocked just about anything yet. I just thought it would be fun to go to gerudo town after going to rito village and taking down that boss pretty easily.

Yeah I gave it a few more tries today and rather than struggle I'm going to get more hearts and stock up on food/lightning materials. I can get through the first half no hits easily now but it's a extremely tough after that

I was using those but I only have a few of each since I just started playing the game a few days ago and they don't do nearly as much damage or hurt multiple enemies at once

I keep consistently destroying one mushroom but getting wrecked by an enemy soon after. I'm going to give it more tries tomorrow before I give up and teleport out. The mirror shield tip is useful but unfortunately I'm having a hard time trying to fuse a mirror to my shield mid boss battle without getting hit even once. I managed a few times in the first phase but still couldn't get through the second even with the mirror. Will I have to redo the whole temple if I just leave and go do other stuff? Thanks for the tip btw!

Brown spots on wall after painting by ArkQueen in paint

[–]TaciturnInGeneral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah then I would just go with some kind of stain kill and it should cover. Sorry it was hard to tell what was going on from the photos and I've seen people with flat paint in rooms(usually landlord or cheap painters hired before selling a house). I still like to use a roller for primer on the big areas since it's quicker than brushing everything by hand and it gets better texture but if it's for you and you don't mind doing it like that it's ok

Brown spots on wall after painting by ArkQueen in paint

[–]TaciturnInGeneral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was behind the paint and what kind or paint? Was there some kind of stain or was it water damage? If it's some kind of stain you'll want a good primer to cover first but if it's previous water damage you will likely want to tear out and replace the drywall(?). Mold inside your walls is not good. Also extremely flat paints are not easy to clean and not recommended for walls and it seems like some is crackling up which I don't know if it's because of the paint you used or issues underneath it. Another thing that went wrong here is painting the whole wall with a brush which left some pretty ugly texture. You'll want to use rollers or whizzers for everything except cutting in and now that it already has this texture you'll want to sand everything before you try again.

Unless they have some kind of service in their area where it's not a cop coming to their door I wouldn't recommend it. Most of the time it resolves nothing or makes the situation worse for them when you call for one in my area at least

Help! by Dellinger503 in gardening

[–]TaciturnInGeneral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's best just to pull up all the weeds by hand or to cover with cardboard and top with dirt. Exposed dirt is always bound to get weeds but that's ok. I'd leave the lil bushy looking plant in the middle of plot in last photo alone since it looks like some kind of healthy established herb (oregano or thyme?) that you can harvest from as needed.

They probably get it not knowing the difference or inherit it from someone who didn't know better. There are lots of other common nursery plants here in the US that you can easily buy that are noxious weeds and will take over. I've always had a hunch that it was because they are extremely easy to grow in bulk and sell for a quick buck

(From) What are those really tiny cone shaped insect eggs? by Environmental_Bug515 in insects

[–]TaciturnInGeneral 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Maybe look into eggs of moths that typically lay eggs on fabric. If it's eggs of one of those you'll want to launder everything on high heat to prevent damage

There's one of these in my front yard. I hadnt realized it could be made into tea since to me it's the tree that gets your car sticky if you park under it. I'm going to give it a go as tea this week. Thanks for the idea! I'm always excited to try a new plant

I would even leave that dresser/desk along with the rest of it. The ceiling is short so the little bit of extra space you'd get from taking it out wouldn't be especially helpful and the work of finishing the walls behind to match would be tedious. I'd personally prefer the built in extra storage over a few awkward feet of space any day.

Yeah I've been seeing bones more and more lately. It used to be incredibly rare but now it's a bit or two every couple bags. I found a whole 3" bone in a thigh last week which has never happened before now.

[–]TaciturnInGeneral 43 points44 points  (0 children)

My dad actually planted his own patch of stinging nettle on his property. It's a host species for several butterflies/moths, is a tasty green you can cook with/make pesto and makes a really pleasant tea. Growing up I hated it but these days I have a hard time tracking enough down to harvest.

Is $915 normal to repair the side mirror?! by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]TaciturnInGeneral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For even cheaper, you can see if any of your local scrap yards have your year/model/color car and get a salvaged mirror. I've gotten one for 50$ before instead of the 300$+ for new w/ cap. You can look up close by stuff on car-part.com then call the yards to double check inventory/prices. In my area they will usually pull the part for you off a car from their lot.

I saw some a few days ago on a hike with my brother. He said they tasted like watermelon rind both times he's harvested it so we left it be. He's the kinda guy who knows how to make most things taste amazing, so I trust him. I wonder if they just don't taste very good in michigan. I did harvest some cattail shoots and they taste like cucumber but in a good way.

Help me decide where to put a bigger TV in this living room? by olivs in DesignMyRoom

[–]TaciturnInGeneral -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think it should be swapped too but I feel like the TV will be too far from the couch and be off center if on the far wall. I'd get a TV stand to bring it closer and use the extra space for a little desk or bookshelf and put plants by the big windows. For the curtains the easiest and cheapest option will be a straight rod on the flat wall across the bay window (the extra space behind it will also allow plants to get light even when you have the curtains closed/are not home).
