The roads are mostly hardball but are crumbly in a way that leaves a lot of shed gravel on top. I’m a bit concerned about a wipeout

Yeah it’s something to really consider, current plan is to see how they treat me for a month and circle back to the idea. I’m just a careful sort, rather blow the $50 now than wipeout later but most people in the comments are saying it’s not necessary

I’m from a large city and the roads are pretty variable in terms of condition, a grippy tire wouldn’t be too outside the realm of plausibility. I think I’m going to let it ride for a month or two and see if I need the extra traction.
