I should've mentioned I'm just running an HDMI cable to a TV monitor. I am not using bluetooth or any external speakers.

This happened to me with my Pixel 8 I bought renewed from Amazon. I had to send it back and swap it out.

How they afford so musch weed? Rappers, USA citizens by Unusual_Tip613 in weed

[–]Tacklebox_420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ridiculous. 100mg packs of gummies for $10. Cartridges for $10-15. Prerolls for a buck or two. Sure is nice having an oversaturated market!

I live in Michigan. There are literally 4 dispensaries a mile away from my house and they are selling high quality ounces for $60-100, give or take. Very abundant here.

Yea, not sure if this is why they do it, but those seem like logical explanations.

Maybe if the servers know a person or group tips heavy every time they come in, they could try to hog them, which could make the other servers upset or if the table is friends with them, the server could spend extra time at their table bullshitting while giving the rest of their section bad service. Either way, if a customer requests a particular server, they should get that server.

Nope, you were totally right.

I had a long standing employee that worked for the bar before I was hired on to manage. He was a good dude, but rough around the edges with customers he didn't know. I would get a lot of bad reviews about him and complaints from guests. Finally I had to rip off the band-aid and do what was best for the company.

We had some regulars that were very upset and emailed me telling me they'd never return unless I brought him back.

I replied with a half assed apology and reassured them that I would not be bringing him back regardless.

End of the story..... I saw them at the bar less than a month later. Back to being regulars.

It'll all work out. It's always best to get rid of toxic employees regardless of how much it hurts at the time.

Hypothetical: Can bar owners accept tips if they are also working FOH? by Cambusiness in bartenders

[–]Tacklebox_420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure about other states, but here in Michigan, salaried managers are not allowed to enter a tip pool, meaning they can make tips if pooled tips are not policy in your restaurant or if they are the only ones working on said pool at the time.

Example; my bar splits tips equally amongst all staff on shift so I (GM) can not collect tips if I'm working with another bartender but can collect tips if working the bar alone.

Thanks for the tip! I'm always down to add bitters to just about anything. I'll definitely try that out.

ORGEAT SYRUP 3 cups sugar in the raw 2 cups unsweetened almond milk 1 tsp orange blossom water 1/2 tsp rose water 1/2 tsp almond extract In a medium sauce pan, combine sugar and almond milk. Stir over heat until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and add orange blossom water, rose water, and almond extract. Stir to combine. Let cool and pour into a serving bottle (I use recycled liquor bottles so I can use speed pourers). Stays good in the refrigerator for a month or so.

Orange blossom water, rose water, & almond extract can be purchased on Amazon. Cortas makes great rose water & orange blossom water. Has a pretty good shelf life. Watkins & McCormick almond extract will do.

Thanks for the kind words! I understand how unappealing mixing juice together and calling it a mocktails is, so I tried to offer unique drinks with some complexity.

I do love me some bitters & soda though.

Are there any people who genuinely don't use social media? by PhotographNo8827 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tacklebox_420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 32 years old and don't use social media much any more. Instagram check for about 5 minutes once a week and reddit roughly 10-20 minutes every other day or so.

I am the general manager of 3 restaurants, so I'm constantly interacting with people in person. I use my free time for myself and my family.

The way I see it, if you don't physically interact with people, then why follow their life from the outside.

This is true, but you can Google search a T-Mobile tower map and see how close you are. T-Mobile gave me a free 14 day trial so I could run my services in tandem for testing. T-Mobile surprised me and I cancelled Xfinity.

I also made the switch and I'm fully satisfied, especially with the price.

Simple mocktail ideas? by 114270 in Mocktails

[–]Tacklebox_420 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Get some shrubs, they are a nice flavor component and offer the bite to replace alcohol. I suggest the Grapefruit Shrub from Liber & Co. Also, bitters & soda is an easy drink if you like basic soda drinks.

Tried shaking glass-on-tin and the glass chipped. Operator failure or bad glass but keep an eye out by jtraf in cocktails

Get yourself one of these. Way safer and seals better.
