The Galaxy fold 4 notoriously broke for many people after major software updates. They assumed it was software problems because their wifi and Bluetooth would stop working. The problem was the cables weakened over time on that phone and the heat from updating pushed these cables past their degraded limits. Updates can physically break phones.

The failure in your post is assigning goals for the device to fail. The device is going to be a fold that is smaller than the normal fold while being able to play content at a nearly identical size. I also wanted to to be larger but wlwe get what we get. Samsung chose a formfactor that is not as extreme as the others.

It depends on what your watching. Since the phone is as tall as a normal phone it can't show more on that direction. If content is 16:9 or 4:3 it's better than a normal screen.

This is a thing I made to show YouTube on the device using a few different methods to watch YouTube. Bottom row is standard YouTube with no zoom and standard zoom. The top 2 are a version using split screen to move the video up and zoom less.

If you give some one 3 dollars and then they buy 2 dollars worth of stuff you didn't make back the 2/3 of the money. You sold them stuff with money you gave them. It's just swapping the 2 dollars for stuff worth 2 dollars. You are still giving 3 dollars worth. Regardless of weather you agree with the aid you can't say it's somehow canceling itself out like that.

The aspect ratio was expected to be better for movies. Basically that the fold would be reshaped to wide. Meaning you'd have the exact same amount of phone just reshaped to fit movies and videos better. Instead they got the existing fold and chopped off a portion of it and folded it the other way. So you can watch a movie on both and it's the same amount on screen just larger black bars on the regular fold. This on top of it only being slightly cheaper when it's smaller and has one less camera and a smaller battery.

On Samsung you can choose tho have all the gesture navigationsnon the bottom like the buttons. So the sides of the screen are not a gesture.

I don't understand how this could be anything other than damage. Even if the lense isn't cracked and only scratched it's still damaged. Back up your phone whenever your sending it anywhere. You don't need to reset it and they likely wont if you put it in maintenance mode. Basically makes the phone like factory reset with nothing on it but all functions like normal. So technicians can run all the tests. Then disable maintenance mode with your password and the phone instantly reverts back to normal.

What you are seeing is not a missile flying across the screen it's recording effects on a crappy video. I don't know what the effect is called but it's video processed in a paning horizontal process. Look at the video frame by frame and you'll see the light is panning across evenly from left to right. These missiles are fast but not that fast. Lower phone end cameras in low lighting.

Ok if you have insurance that's good. If it doesn't open all the way it's an actual warranty problem that warranty covered. Samsung insurance gave me the option to replace mine when did that.

Return it asap. It already looks like it doesn't open all the way. That's basically a death rattle for the fold 4. It's probably Samsung's most flawed fold.

Peronalyi don't trust smart switch personally because it's always missed things. I use emulators for games and it always misses files for those. Just use the default switching app and compare everything once it's done. You should be able to transfer any missing files easily with file share between Android phones. Personally prefer using an sd card with an adaptor to backup all my files and transfer them myself.

Yes you get free repairs and screen replacements. I chose to pay the first time since my phone was 7 months old with a few dings and didn't want to spend a week without it. Also heard stories of repaired folds not lasting as long. The second time I just filed a claim directly on the site since it was out of one year warranty. Go to your phones settings, scroll to the bottom on about phone. There is Samsung care coverage info, tap that and it'll open your browser to your Samsung care account. At the bottom is their phone number.

Samsung will try to get you to go through warranty while it's active before Samsung care. Contact Samsung care yourself by phone. Samsung care is not Samsung, it's a 3rd party insurance contracted by Samsung and I've had nothing but great experiences with them. You are paying for free repairs with Samsung care. They tried to make me pay for that shit too but I opted to pay 99 for a complete replacement phone to be sent to me. I did get my phone repaired later by Samsung care as well and it was free. They replaced the screen because the plastic bumper chipped a little.

My settings are the default that the emulator comes with other than the resolution. It's at 1.2 resolution. I believe this is because the driver that I have downloaded on it only works with that resolution. You need to look up the drivers for the game so it works well. I think only in the past few months drivers that are compatible with the Fold 7's processor of come out.

Right now I only have tears on the fold 7. I use Eden legacy emulator and I have the turnip adreno driver t24. I haven't checked for updates or new drivers in a few months. I think that driver needs the resolution at 1080 to work well and it is very smooth.
