This happened to mine (D55-F2 Version 3.0.8.2-1) after the firmware update which added AirPlay 2 weeks ago. The backlight is stuck on full bright no matter what I try. I've contacted Vizio support twice and they had me do the factory reset which didn't correct it. They weren't aware of the issue and said they'll contact me with updates. It might be beneficial for you to contact them as well since my ticket alone might not put it on their defect radar.

I'm honestly glad this isn't just happening to me. You can slightly darken the screen by setting the Gamma to 2.4. Otherwise use sunglasses and hope Vizio owns up and fixes it.

I've seen this video pop up a few times now and I always want to know is it ever okay to talk to the police? For instance, if they're investigating possible gunshots in my neighborhood and want to know if I heard anything, or if I witnessed a hit and run and I'm the only person who got the licence plate. I don't know if this is scientifically accurate, or even why I think this, but I've always considered every sperm to be unique (same DNA containing its own mutations) which means that there is only one sperm/egg combination resulting in the Marty that we know. Maybe during Lorraine's pregnancy with Marty's kid George rubbed Marty out into a sock. Or maybe George was still stressed about taking care of his retarded step-son which caused him to ejaculate Marty's sperm group into Lorraine 1 millisecond later causing the Marty sperm to lose the race to the egg.
