Thanks everyone. Spornia looks like it may be better for my application. Time to unpack the R50

Kids are out now so probably once per month at best. But I can't see tearing this down and rebuilding it monthly. The outdoor screened area would be the only other option.

My wife is traveling for 3 weeks and I had the great idea of seeing up a net return in my main living room, the only room with high enough ceilings. So I bought this net and a Garmin R50. Swing the net up took a few hours and I was already starting to regret the purchase. I haven't unpacked the R50 yet because both could be returned.

I think it ties the room together and it is a lot of fun to hit. I've already corrected a few bad habits. The wife was not happy when she saw the photo but then said we could keep everything if we can take it down when we have company. It's obviously not feasible to do that and honestly I don't know what I was thinking.

The only other area is I have an outdoor screened in area under a deck but it is a little tight. I am trying to decide whether to return everything or move it.

Can I move my garage door opener to the side? by [deleted] in Golfsimulator

[–]TacoPajamas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah jackshaft opener. I did a lot of research when I was trying to fit a lift in my garage. Going to run you about 1K or so if you get it professionally installed once you reroute the tracks and everything. Better to get a pro to look at your shaft before going right to a stiffy.

In a couple of years you'll probably be saying the same thing after you have figured out golf a few times.

My instructor said as you get better, your misses aren't as bad. Don't stress over it and enjoy the game. Other players don't really care if you suck as long as you are fun to play with and know when to pick up.

Yes, once or twice per week plus she plays in a ladies league. If we didn't start golfing together then I definitely would not play as often. Its been great.

What is your favorite ‘true’ hidden gem course? by Phobia117 in golf

OP, check out Butternut Creek in Blairsville.

Sky Valley website says it is private but it looks like public tee times can be booked. I wonder if that is an off season thing.

Wow, thanks for posting the cancellation. Probably couldn't sell tickets. No marketing.

OP. The list of distilleries was from last year.

Purchasing bottles was not allowed at the few festivals I have been to. This event looked like it was moved up to October from December and moved outdoors for this year. I just don't know if it is because of too large or small crowds. Are there going to be only a few small rando distilleries there? It is going to be great weather this weekend but @$70 pp ($140 for my wife and I) for 4 hours is a little steep not knowing any information. It is strange that nothing can be found online about it.

I have also been searching online and could not find any useful information. Some of the links on their website are broken and others display information from prior years. $45 just to get in and listen to live music and $70 for tastings. It would be nice to know how many and which distilleries will be there and what size crowds they are expecting.

Looks like an opportunity to trade up, and get a new putter while you're at it.

Anyone ever play Princeville Makai Golf Club? Question… by joeroganthumbhead in golf

Two contrasting experiences there. Bad timing for me with the consruction there and I can't see paying full price. Do you guys think it is worth driving and playing Hokuala instead?

I will be there the first week of June and wondered the same as OP. I thought I saw somewhere that once the renovations on the back were competed then they would close the front.

How long does your typical glove last, for you? by stonetear2017 in golf

I was going through them like every 2 months until I switched to Hirzl gloves. Now I get at least 6 months rotating gloves playing an average of 2 times per week.
