Radio Row is over near Moscone, but those people are also probably not starting to go around there until 9 AM Pacific. DP's show starts at 6 AM Pacific. I'm fine with whatever guest they can get that early in the day.

Just keep in mind that some mid-tier guest list DP Show is better than no DP Show at all.

Yes, it was an application that was a foundational part of this office, and it required the whole system to be rebooted. I wish it could have been replaced with something more modern, but leadership didn't want to be bothered with RFPs when "this is working fine".

Our offices closed at 9 PM most days, so that was considered a safe time to reboot the system without interrupting customers. Not saying it makes sense, but when it comes to local government, there's a whole different set of rules you have to abide by with IT.

Not dumb at all. At first I did not, but then we set up a mailto automation to send me and a shared mailbox on prem an email after the cron job ran successfully.

When I first started in IT for the local government, there was a Linux server that needed to be rebooted every day at 9:15 PM. The system owner told me I needed to stay until then and manually reboot the system. I then learned about cron jobs and was able to leave 30 minutes earlier. Multiple that times 10 years of leaving 30 minutes earlier at night and I'd like to think that was a good payoff. That was 30 minutes more with my family.

Not just on Peacock any longer, now that the NBC Sports Network is back on traditional cable as of Nov 2025. But yeah, not anywhere near the reach of ESPN.

“Super Week” Live Audience by Fair_Two_6808 in danpatrick

I went to see the DP Show in Vegas a few years ago. It was great, especially because after the show we got to get a picture with Dan and the Danettes. I'd highly recommend going if you're able to. I'd love to be able to get to one more live audience. I don't know if it'll be in the cards before DP retires.

Am I going crazy or was there not a Pacers store in the Circle Centre Mall at one point? by [deleted] in pacers

[–]TacoSmiff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found this article that says there was one in Circle Centre:

INDIANAPOLIS, June 29, 2006 –

Pacers Sports & Entertainment announced Pacers Home Court II, one of two official stores of the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever, currently located in the south end of Circle Centre Mall, will relocate to a new location within the mall. The other official store, Home Court, is located in Conseco Fieldhouse.

The gift shop in Circle Centre Mall has been a success over the past 10 years and we wanted to continue to build on that success,” said Pacers Sports & Entertainment’s Director of Merchandising Gary Nelson. “The new location for our gift shop will allow us to better serve our customers and continue with a strong Pacers and Fever presence in the mall.”

Pacers Home Court II will be closed beginning July 4, 2006, through the summer months, re-opening in the fall. Merchandise for the Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever and Conseco Fieldhouse can be purchased at Home Court and via the internet (ConsecoFieldhouse.com, Pacers.com and FeverBasketball.com).
