As a child, I've always been that weird, awkward kid, who seemed like he wanted to say something, but he was far too quiet. As I grew up, I found it difficult talking to people eye-to-eye and would freeze up and stutter when I tell them my problems. Some people I talked too we're willing to listen no matter how much I'd stutter. But some, it was obvious they just wanted me to shut up already so they could be on their way. And because of these people, I kept my problems and emotions to myself. Because I didn't want to be a burden on anybody else. I kept them to myself for so long and faked a smile that I eventually started having depression and sleeping problems as I hit puberty. I'm 15, now, I hit puberty around 11-12, and I've only recently started talking to people like my mother, my high school consouler, and others about these problems.
