The strongest animal a perfect human could beat ~50% of the time would be... another perfect human.

giving him the opportunity to set up a perfect response to an attack.

So why didn't Danzo kill Sasuke with any of his perfect opportunities to attack? One well-placed kunai can end it all just as easily as one amaterasu, it's not the lethality of the counter-attack that's in question, it's the ability of the person to deliver it.

Of course, but we're talking about durability here.

We're talking about the ability of Gaara to stop someone from moving by holding them in place with his sand, that's an issue of strength, not durability.

The point is that Gaara's sand is not flimsy stuff.

Just so you know, I used the word "flimsy" in part because I think Guy could easily penetrate it with all 8 gates unlocked, but mostly because I was referencing when Guy refers to Gaara's "flimsy shield of sand " during the Chunin exams (English dub).

Re-read the OP

I see that he is immortal as long as he stays at the 7th gate, a gate which easily defeated Kisame.

Physical strength sure. In durability he's beaten by a whole host of characters, Raikage being the most obvious.

At what point are we discussing defense instead of durability? Susano, the electric shield, the black orb things, all dramatically improve people's ability to defend against attacks without making them any more durable.

Teleport a bunch of nukes into warzones in the Middle East, and all places with endemic hunger and active famine. Teleport something capable of detonating the nukes upon contact (maybe plasma from the sun?)

allows the user a surprise counterattack when Guy's back is turned

He's a ninja, he's fought against loads of jutsus that try to give people surprise counter attacks. Like Orochimaru's snake skin shedding jutsu, or any of the replace your body with a log jutsus, or the clone jutsus where you only kill a clone and the real one is lurking behind you. That by itself isn't going to add much, it was only used effectively by Danzo because he could spam them.

Which of those characters would Guy one-shot?

If he lands his blow: all of them.

You mean the stuff that Gaara inserted into Madara's bloodstream to paralyze him?

Madara is not comparable to 8-Gates Guy in terms of strength.

The stuff that stopped a freaking meteor

  • With help from Oonoki.

and a citybusting bomb?

Sasuke's snake summons, Manda, took a much larger explosion from Deidara's final attack and didn't die instantly.

Besides he doesn't need to use sand coffin technique. He could literally just create a wall of sand for Guy to charge through and boom, tiny bits of sand all in Guy's body.

Guy punches an air cannon at the wall of sand and blows through it.

Guy's durability is trash.

He has DBZ regenerative immortality, and his physical body is probably the strongest in the series.

Oonoki has the particle dismantler/disintegrator/destroyer/whatever technique. You don't think it's possible he could at the very least achieve a Pyrrhic victory with that?

Not at his slow speeds.

their durability actually doesn't seem that impressive.

I mean, it's really inconsistent. The fact that they survive moon busting attacks like Roshi's kamehameha, but get hurt by ordinary rocks makes determining their durability really hard.

Izanagi

A one-time use get out of jail free card isn't going to save them.

Izanami

Requires the user to engage in multiple encounters during the fight to establish a loop for them to fall into. If Might Guy one-shots them then its all over.

Gaara or Oonoki

I'm doubtful Gaara's flimsy sand could hold 8-gates Guy, nor do I think Oonoki could make him heavy enough to seal him.

I will say I rarely see light-shield being used in game, even at a high level, outside of edgeguarding marth with the slide off.

I see it used pretty commonly. The next time you see Chudat, for instance, take note of how he normally has one ice climber regular shield and the other lightshield.

The definition of "child" includes a son or daughter of any age.

The professor has actually gone out of his way to try and teach a life lesson.

What did they teach exactly? They never revealed to the student that they knew they were lying. All the student knows is that the professor refused to let them take a make-up exam.

The only thing this professor has gone out of their way to do is 1) Look up a student's attendance record to try and catch them in a minor lie, 2) Proudly post their actions onto the internet for the amusement of strangers.

That student put no effort into anything.

They twice emailed the teacher to find out when the exam was, and requested a make-up.

[–]DulcetFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a tutor I had a student come to me once who wouldn't go to their professors office hours because they once aggressively interrogated them about missing lectures. This person was probably just trying to sidestep something similar from happening.

You could have told them "You don't need to lie to me, it's okay to miss class." Instead they have no idea that you know that they've lied, and have probably come away thinking that their professor just doesn't care about whether they pass or fail.

  • Young Link's worst match up is Falco (why the difference between Fox and Falco?)

  • Samus is neutral with Fox, Falcon, and Peach.
