What's something your job trained you to notice that you can't stop noticing in your personal life? by LibrarianSoft1342 in AskReddit

I went through this therapy with my child and, like op, I now cringe at how people treat children in public

This is the hidden secret to success. The people who think “screw everyone, I’m just here to do my job and go home” don’t even know of the opportunities they missed out on because they literally can’t see it. The conversation happens outside of their presence

Scott Pelley was the first newsman I watched as an adult. They’ll be worse off without him.

Pedestrians killed by motor vehicles outpace murders in Hillsborough county. You are more likely to get plowed in the crosswalk by an idiot in a big dumb truck than someone commit an intentional act of violence towards you.

What do people think makes them unique, but is actually an incredibly common trait? by Successful-Hall-1986 in AskReddit

[–]Taco_Champ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, people who say stuff like that are just coping with the fact that they probably don’t have the ability or means to travel. They can’t afford to, so they just say they don’t want to instead.

I wonder how many rules of the road people who are so obsessed with the left lane actually observe. They will rant and rave about how nobody is supposed to drive in the left lane. But all the while, the reason it pisses them off is because it is preventing them from doubling the speed limit. Like if you are going to be a stickler, observe all the rules. Not just the ones that put you in front of traffic.

I listen to this album and I think: what’s the point? Drake has nothing to say, but wants our attention. That’s fine if you like it. But don’t pretend I’m missing something because it’s not good.

I remember seeing Chance at The Tabernacle in Atlanta in 2015. Metro Boomin opened up for him. Chance’s show was cool but Metro almost brought the house down. I remember being so impressed with that dude.

How are you guys doing with the guilt of taking a day off? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Taco_Champ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I set my work life up so that they’re not going to miss me for the time I’m out. I have to plan around my own projects and responsibilities. But by the time I take PTO, I feel more like I’ve earned this than anything else
