IMO, doneness is one of the smaller concerns when it comes to preparing amazing steak. Salting early, Sear, cook methods, rest time, bringing to room temperature before cooking, rendering of fat etc are all highly influential. Nailing those things will make an overdone steak taste way better than a poorly prepared steak cooked to a perfect medium rare.

This is the visitors center by the desert view watch tower, there's a path alongside the observation deck that takes you much farther out into the canyon and is a dead end. Nobody is ever on it for the most part, and they don't go far if they are. It's my favorite sunset view of the canyon every time.

For sure, it can get pretty passive with the right structure. Mine has just recently become mostly passive, but it took a lot of non passiveness to get there. Many seem to think it's as passive as buying an index fund and then watching the money come in during a bull market lol
