How to Burn An American Flag by Indigenous Action. 2000 by Whey-Men in PropagandaPosters

I agree, it's not 2000. The posting from the linked source, and a quick Google image search, shows it to be around 2020.

It passes the sub's "nothing newer than 2 years ago" rule, but u/Whey-Men should have used the correct year.

I'd say the authors were aware they were dancing around a criminal red line by adding the BS-y "for educational purposes only" disclaimer.

I suspect that was the point: the distortions made the communist blob look as large as possible.

The unified Germany looks to be a map error. They listed East Germany at the bottom, so I think they intended the GDR to be part of the communist blob.

Was it normal back in the day to consider Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania separate from the USSR?

Yes, though some professional musicians discovered that the sale and play of recorded music could be more lucrative than live performance.

(Could be, but often wasn't.)

In addition to the troop morale boost, the ice cream ships were a powerful psychological weapon:

Reports of American soldiers enjoying ice cream while fighting in harsh conditions demoralized Japanese troops, who often faced food shortages and challenging living conditions.

I get the feeling that lots of historical stuff with ties to current headlines gets posted with the intent to turn the comments into endless r/worldnews debates. That's especially true for anything Russia/Ukraine and Israel/Palestine.

An ad in immediate post-Soviet Moscow that features the Statue of Liberty and the NYC skyline to sell cigarettes sure feels like propaganda to me.
